About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working in Brighton and Hove with over 10 years experience in practice.

I can help you with relationship problems, if you're feeling stuck, if you're in a period of massive change, if you want to understand and work through past traumas or break free from old patterns. I can help you work out what's happening now, why it might be happening and how to make a change.

Coming to therapy can be a chance to notice those things that we tend to do, wonder why we might do them and then experiment with doing something different.

Practice description

I work with honesty and warmth and my practice is hopeful but realistic.

I believe that what has happened in the past is important and affects who we are and the way we live our lives right now. But the past is not all we’ll talk about. We can think about what has gone on and link it to what's happening now, we can spot patterns and work out why certain things might feel the way they do.

In therapy we can work towards understanding you and your relationships better, making change and growth possible, resolving conflicts and helping you to feel more whole and free from shame.

Being able to think about our relationship is also important as it can sometimes provide a useful mirror to other relationships you might be experiencing elsewhere in your life.

Therapy is a rare dedicated slot just for you. I encourage you to give it a go and I look forward to hearing from you.

My first session

I offer a free half-hour introductory session that is in person at Hove Therapy Rooms. This offers us both a chance to get to know each other and to see if we'd like to work together. It's important to choose a therapist who you like and connect with. I invite you to get in touch.
