About me and my therapy practice
Therapy can be a turning point when life feels overwhelming, stuck or painful. You might be dealing with anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, difficult family dynamics, or simply a sense of being lost. Sessions with me offer a safe, respectful and grounded space to talk openly and be truly heard.
My therapy practice draws on 16 years of working in mental health and well-being. This work includes teaching mindfulness to NHS staff and people accessing mental health services through MIND. I also have 9 years of counselling experience, which includes 4 years, and ongoing work, as a therapist within the foster care system. My particular areas of interest and expertise includes:
🌿 Supporting people with challenging family dynamics
🌿 Therapeutic parenting
🌿 Supporting people with complex trauma and difficult early life experiences
I work in a trauma-informed and embodied way, blending neuroscience with spirituality in a mind–body approach. This may include exploring the stories carried in the body, alongside practical tools to navigate emotions day-to-day. At times, I may gently offer new perspectives to support your growth — always with care and compassion.
Practice description
I offer online therapy for individuals who want to make sense of their experiences and feel more confident navigating life. Together we can explore whatever you’re carrying — whether that’s anxiety, loneliness, stress, parenting and family challenges, or the impact of early life experiences.
My approach is integrative and flexible, drawing from mindfulness, parts work, somatic and self-compassion practices, Gestalt, existential counselling, CBT and dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP). I also bring 13 years of personal practice in Scaravelli yoga, which informs my belief that healing often begins with listening to the body.
Weekly sessions are 1 hour, held at the same time each week to provide consistency and stability.
My first session
Taking the first steps towards therapy takes courage. I will provide you with a calm and welcoming space to begin your journey.
I offer a free initial 30 minute introductory call or Zoom meeting, so you can share what you’re looking for, ask any questions and get a feel for how it might be to work together.
If you decide that you want to work together, then we will find a regular, weekly slot for your sessions. The first session will begin to explore what has brought you to therapy and your hopes for therapy. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating a safe and supportive environment.
