Availability

I offer sessions Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm, both online and in person.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a humanistic counsellor working with a holistic, person-centred ethos, informed by psychodynamic and relational perspectives. I believe therapy can be valuable not only in times of difficulty but also as a way of deepening awareness and enriching everyday life.

My approach is grounded in compassion, presence and curiosity. I aim to create a collaborative space where you can safely explore your experience, including the ways past relationships may be shaping your present life. Together we can look at what’s happening, make sense of recurring patterns, and open space for new choices.

I work with both short-term and open-ended therapy, depending on what feels right for you. Areas of focus may include anxiety, low mood, burnout, relationships, loss, identity, substance use, or life transitions. I also welcome people who simply want to reflect more deeply and cultivate greater clarity and self-understanding.

Practice description

My practice is shaped by over 25 years of experience in health and well-being, alongside a long-standing engagement with Buddhist contemplative traditions. These influences bring an emphasis on awareness, compassion and presence into my work, while my psychodynamic and relational training provides a solid grounding in understanding how early experiences shape our present relationships and struggles.

Clients often describe me as steady, thoughtful and straightforward. I bring a creative outlook to my work, which allows me to meet people with openness, imagination and humour. In addition to one-to-one therapy, I have experience facilitating groups, workshops and retreats focused on self-awareness and authentic communication.

Sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes. I offer therapy online and in person, providing a consistent and supportive space for reflection and growth.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and see if we feel comfortable working together. I will invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to explore, while also giving you space to ask questions about how I work. We will look at what feels most important to focus on and consider whether short-term or longer-term therapy might be more suitable.

I charge my standard fee for this first session, and there is no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel like the right fit. If we decide to work together, we will agree on a regular weekly time and discuss practical details such as fees and cancellation policy.
