My interest in self-development began in my early twenties, driven by questions like 鈥淲hy do I feel this way?鈥 or 鈥淲here do these patterns come from?鈥 Over time, I discovered how much our childhood experiences shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. That curiosity led me to train as an Integrative therapist.
My approach blends Person-Centred therapy, focusing on your present experience with Psychodynamic insights that explore how unresolved childhood trauma and early relationships might still echo in your adult life.
Many of the people I work with feel emotionally drained, stuck in familiar cycles, or uncertain about their direction. They might be struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, or navigating major life transitions. I have been interested in Self-development since my early 20鈥檚. I think I was always searching for reasons for "why I am like I am鈥 鈥渨hy do I do what I do鈥 鈥渁ct like I act鈥.
Through that journey I learnt that our early years have such a profound effect on who we are, how we see the world and how we see ourselves in the world. That鈥檚 why it was important for me to study to be an Integrative therapist, combining both Person centred approach which emphasises the clients perspective and experience in the here and now but more importantly Psychodynamic Theory which explores how past experiences, particularly from childhood influence present day feelings, behaviours and relationships.
Many of the adults I've worked with start to recognise how patterns from childhood still echo in their current lives, whether it鈥檚 in relationships, work stress, or feeling emotionally drained. You might be noticing the same struggles repeating or a sense of being stuck without quite knowing why.
In therapy, we can gently explore how early experiences may be shaping how you respond to challenges today. With that understanding, it becomes easier to shift long-held patterns and begin to feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in the present.
