About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Íø±¬ÃÅ accredited counsellor with 14 years’ experience in counselling. I have worked with a range of issues over the years and have a specific area of expertise working with bereavement and anticipated loss.
I have extensive experience of supporting people though loss and anticipated loss. By dedicating a space to talk about your loved one, share memories of them or explore the complexities of grief can really support your grief journey.
I can support a number of issues including Anxiety, Stress, Anger, Depression, Trauma, Bereavement, Self-esteem, Relationships issues, Work related issues, Body Issues.
My hope is that by offering you a space built on empathy, trust and non-judgment, you will feel safe enough to explore whatever is on your mind, feeling heard, understood, valued and accepted for who you are, and whatever you bring to the sessions.
Working from a person-centred approach, my aim is to support you as you explore and understand your difficulties at your own pace, empowering you in using your own inner resources and moving forward towards the self-healing or change that you seek.
At times, life can be unpredictable and bring about moments of crisis, when our world is rocked and the way ahead is hard to navigate. My role is to support you as you make sense of your experiences, helping you reconnect with yourself and move towards a more fulfilling and authentic life.
Practice description
Our counselling sessions can be weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs. I ask that you attend your session with no one else present and you are free of interruptions so there can be absolutely complete client confidentiality and a dedicated space just for you.
Sessions are always directed by whatever you wish to explore, as I believe it is you who knows what is important and has meaning for your personal needs. I may also draw upon different modalities from other types of therapy which allows me to support each individual’s particular requirements.
Online sessions will take place via teams. I simply send a link for you to open which takes you straight through to a secure video session.
1-1 sessions will be 50 minutes
Payment by Banks Transfer (BACS) to be paid before each session begins
My first session
You can contact me by email or mobile phone and if you decide to proceed further, we will arrange an introductory session, charged at the usual rate, to give you a chance to see how counselling might feel for you and for me to see what you might need from our work together. You are under no obligation to continue after this if you do not feel comfortable to do so.
