About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in trauma recovery. My practice includes childhood and past awareness, relationship difficulties, and recent events, e.g. accidents, unexpected events.
'Trauma' may feel like social isolation, avoidance, feeling out of place, career, habits, and family difficulties. Anything that enables a sense of dis-ease, both mentally and often physically as a result.
By setting a working agreement, we aim to reshape the roots of your conditioning that may be known or may extend to the subconscious, e.g., patterns of behaviour, and intergenerational awareness—how your family or close relationships did things that may seem difficult now.
It is essential to allow space for new behaviours to develop with compassion.
I am an accredited therapist in trauma-focused recovery with over a decade of experience. I have a psychological underpinning to my practice. With your self-awareness, we work with the body and mind to find a deeper place, often known to be acceptance, peace and inner transformation. I have supported clients to have life-changing results known as post-traumatic growth.
You may have experienced childhood difficulties, interpersonal problems, unhelpful thought patterns, addictions, attachment issues, etc. If you sense something needs support and you're here, that is a good but often painful start to change.

Practice description
I offer deeper healing than talking therapy alone. Although talking about your difficulties can be important especially in the initial stages of therapy. I use of EMDR (Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) and somatic (body) awareness, to compassionately use your words as a guide to heal.My underpinning approach is person-centred, which means that your needs and decisions are always at the heart of our process together.
My first session
The first session is led by you. We meet online or in person and set the working agreement.
