About me and my therapy practice

'Imprint of Life Therapy' - Holistic Healing

Are you ready to connect with yourself and heal from within?

We are made up of years of experiences; some sad, some happy, some testing, some traumatic, and some even devastating. There's a reason for everything that we do, think, and feel. We are informed by our experiences. Do you find that your brain just won鈥檛 switch off? Do you feel that no matter how much you try and change patterns the same things happen again? Let me help you. You have the tools within you to ride the waves of the rough seas - you just need someone beside you whilst you navigate that. I use a mind-body approach which means we sit with the effect that stress/trauma can have on our whole system. Our thoughts can trick us - our nervous system can鈥檛. By combining the two we acknowledge and explore all of your experiences; cognitive and somatic. It isn't just 'talking' - it's discovering who you truly are on a deep level and finding a way to move forward and develop the resilience and determination that is within you!

I am an experienced/qualified psychotherapist, and I work with anyone aged 16+. If you are affected by distress, sadness, low mood, suicidal thoughts, depression, or anxiety - please get in touch. I specialize in working with those struggling with bullying, trauma, attachment issues, narcissism, neglect, family issues, domestic and sexual abuse; including child sexual exploitation - but will sit beside anyone who needs support.

Feminine Connection - In a world that often pulls us in different directions, women's growth circles offer a sacred space for connection, healing and empowerment. Share your journey and find strength in sisterhood. Cultivate authentic relationships. Release trauma and embrace collective healing through shared stories. Join me in my Women's Growth Circles, where we celebrate our unique experiences, foster genuine connection, and support each other in our personal growth.

About me and my therapy practice

I have been counselling adolescents and adults since January 2016. The foundation of my training is Person-Centred, but I work as an integrative therapist and my toolbox has theoretical underpinnings from the following modalities: Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (somatic), Trauma-Informed, Systemic, Attachment, Therapeutic Communities, Sand-Story, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, CBT and DBT. I specialise in working with people impacted by adverse childhood experiences, domestic and sexual violence, trauma, addiction, relationship issues, family issues and more.

I work from my therapy room in central Market Harborough and have begun my CPCAB Level 6 in Supervision, which will be completed at the end of May. I am able to work with trainee or qualified counsellors who can work with me either online or face-to face.

Please see my full profile for more details around how I work as a counsellor.

The CPCAB Level 6 Supervision training that I am completing has a relational and systemic approach and uses the seven eyed model (Shohet, 2008). This model provides counsellors and psychotherapists with seven areas of focus that encompass the client, the therapist, the supervisor, the relationships between therapist, client and supervisor, and the wider system. The model is called 鈥渟even eyed鈥 because it focuses on seven distinct aspects of the therapeutic process. There is also huge focus on the IDM which supports personal and professional growth of the counsellor by adapting feedback and teaching style to match the counsellor鈥檚 developmental level. This can foster higher levels of self-awareness, competency, autonomy, and ethical practice.

I use a whole-system approach within supervision, in a safe and non-judgemental space. I have strong safeguarding knowledge and a trauma-informed approach to supervision. Please enquire if you would be interested in discussing this further and I look forward to hearing from you.

I charge 拢75 for 1.5 hours.
