About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you might be looking for someone who will truly listen and understand. I’m here to offer that support – a safe and welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

I believe that every person is unique, and so is their journey. My approach is warm, compassionate, and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re struggling with trauma, unresolved childhood experiences, bereavement, anxiety, low mood, stress, or a loss of sense of self, I am here to walk alongside you as you find your way forward.

At the heart of my work is the Person-Centred approach – which means I place your experiences, feelings, and goals at the centre of our sessions. I value you as the expert in your own life, and together we will create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

In addition to my Person-Centred foundation, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to offer flexible and dynamic support. This means we can work in a way that feels right for you, whether you want to explore past experiences, navigate present challenges, or build tools for the future.

Here’s how we’ll work together:

•Understand:  We’ll take time to explore your thoughts, feelings, and the patterns that may be holding you back, offering you deeper insight into your experiences.

Take Action:  When you feel ready, we’ll work together to find practical steps toward the changes you want to see in your life.

See Change:  As you take these steps, you’ll start to notice positive shifts. I will be here to support you, celebrate your progress, and help you maintain these changes.

I know that reaching out for support can be a big step, and it takes courage to begin this journey. Whatever challenges you are facing, you don’t have to go through them alone. If you’re ready to start or have questions about how we might work together, I’m here to listen. Let’s take that first step together.

Practice description

When you choose to work with me, you can expect a professional, honest, and compassionate approach that is tailored to your unique needs. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where you feel respected, valued, and truly heard. My practice is built on trust, transparency, and a genuine desire to help you achieve the changes you’re seeking.

I approach our work with care and integrity, and I’m not afraid to address difficult topics when they arise. These conversations, while sometimes challenging, are always handled with sensitivity and compassion. You will never be judged, and we will navigate these moments together at a pace that feels right for you.

Collaboration is at the heart of my approach. Your voice matters, and we will regularly review your progress to ensure our work aligns with your goals and priorities. I adapt my methods to meet your evolving needs, keeping our sessions focused on what is most meaningful to you.

My first session

My first session details

Your first session with me is about creating a solid foundation for our work together. It’s a chance for us to start building a trusting relationship while making sure you feel safe, supported, and in capable hands.

During this session, we’ll take time to explore what has brought you to therapy, your hopes for the process, and any specific goals you may have. We’ll also discuss a working agreement that outlines our shared responsibilities, setting clear expectations and boundaries to support a positive and productive experience.

My priority is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and respected. If it aligns with your goals, I can also offer psychometric tests during the first session to provide deeper insights into your experiences and help shape our work together.

This first session is the beginning of your journey, and I am here to support you every step of the way, ensuring you feel empowered and confident as we move forward.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m a Íø±¬ÃÅ Accredited Counsellor and qualified Clinical Supervisor, offering a warm, reflective, and empowering space for therapists to grow in confidence and competence. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental, encouraging supervisees to bring all aspects of their work to supervision — from challenges to successes — with openness and honesty.

I bring experience of supervising both trainee and qualified practitioners from a range of modalities. My integrative approach adapts to the needs and learning styles of each supervisee, encouraging openness, reflection, and curiosity. I believe supervision should be a place where every aspect of your client work — from uncertainty to success — can be explored without judgment.

My supervision is grounded in Hawkins & Shohet’s 7-Eyed Model of Supervision, supporting ethical practice, professional development, and personal wellbeing. I believe supervision is not just about compliance or case discussion, but about creating a trusted relationship where exploration, learning, and growth can flourish.

Having trained as a clinical supervisor at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy, I bring a wealth of experience in supporting both trainee and qualified practitioners across a range of modalities.   Alongside my clinical work, I bring teaching and training experience from previous careers. I also hold a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification, which supports my ability to facilitate learning and development in supervision. This background enables me to integrate both clinical and educational perspectives, ensuring that supervision is not only reflective but also supportive of your ongoing professional growth.

Whether you’re at the start of your counselling journey or are an experienced practitioner seeking deeper reflection, my aim is to provide a space that helps you feel supported, challenged, and confident in your work.

Practice description

My supervision practice is a collaborative partnership designed to nurture your professional and personal development. I aim to create a space that is both supportive and reflective, where curiosity, self-awareness, and ethical thinking are encouraged.

I work integratively, tailoring supervision to your individual needs, modality, and stage of practice. I use the 7-Eyed Model to explore not only client dynamics but also your internal process, the supervisory relationship, and the wider systemic context. This holistic perspective promotes insight, resilience, and growth.

Supervision sessions typically last 90 minutes and are held online for accessibility and flexibility. Frequency is agreed collaboratively, often monthly or bi-monthly depending on your requirements and the expectations of your professional body.

My role is to help you feel safe enough to explore uncertainty, confident enough to take risks, and grounded enough to maintain ethical and effective practice. I value authenticity, compassion, and professionalism, and I strive to bring these qualities into every supervision relationship.

If you are seeking a reflective, ethical, and empowering supervision experience, I would be delighted to work with you.

My first session

The first supervision session provides an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore how we might work together. It’s a relaxed and collaborative space where you can share your background, training, client work, and what you hope to gain from supervision.

We’ll also discuss the practicalities — such as frequency, online arrangements, and fees — and agree on a Working Agreement that outlines confidentiality, responsibilities, and the scope of our supervision.

I don’t offer a different rate for the first session, as it forms part of our ongoing supervision process. The session lasts 90 minutes (£65) and is conducted online. However, if you’d prefer a shorter initial meeting (30 minutes) to discuss compatibility before committing, I’m happy to arrange this free of charge.

The first session is also a chance to assess our fit. Effective supervision depends on a strong, trusting relationship, so I encourage you to take time to reflect on whether my style feels right for you.

By the end of our initial meeting, you’ll have a clear sense of how we can work together to support your growth, confidence, and ethical integrity as a practitioner.
