About me and my therapy practice

About me:

I’m a qualified therapist with over ten years’ experience in the mental health sector, working across private practice, the NHS, Higher Education and charities supporting Black communities.

As someone of mixed heritage who grew up in diverse London communities, I bring personal insight and cultural awareness to my therapy practice, helping me understand the unique ways identity and background shape each person’s journey.

I’m an accredited Íø±¬ÃÅ member and listed on both the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN) and the Counselling Directory

How I Work:

I offer short- and long-term therapy to adults (18+), providing a safe, collaborative space. My integrative approach draws on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential theories as well as some CBT techniques. I also have specialist training in Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression and I'm currently training in EMDR.

At the heart of my work is a warm, trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel truly heard and understood. I believe therapy isn’t about giving advice -  I trust that you already have the answers within you. My role is to support you in uncovering and making sense of them in your own time and way. While therapy can be challenging, I believe it can also be creative, empowering, and even enjoyable.

I use an intersectional and anti-oppressive approach to therapy. I recognise how identity and social context - such as race, gender, culture and lived experience - shape mental health and sense of self.

I don’t believe therapy is one-size-fits-all. Each person brings a unique story, so I tailor my approach to your individual needs.

Sessions are available face-to-face or remotely (via video or phone).

Free telephone consultation:
If you're interested in working together, I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to explore what you're looking for from therapy, check availability and answer any questions you may have.
