About me and my therapy practice

I offer relational, trauma-informed psychotherapy to adults who are seeking a space to feel met, heard, and reconnected with themselves. My approach is grounded in curiosity, care, and respect for the ways we adapt in order to survive.

Many of my clients are women who have spent years prioritising others—through caregiving, people-pleasing, or staying strong for everyone else—often at the cost of their own needs. When life shifts (through burnout, motherhood, menopause, grief, or relationship changes) old patterns can stop working, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, lost, or emotionally cut off. You may not know who you are anymore—or where to begin. That’s okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin therapy.

Our work will gently explore how your history, relationships, and nervous system have shaped how you cope. We may look at protective strategies like masking, perfectionism, withdrawal, or self-criticism—not to pathologise, but to understand their roots and lessen their grip. Therapy can help you move from surviving to living, with more choice, self-compassion, and connection.

I work affirmatively with neurodivergent clients, including those identifying with autism or traits like high-masking, mimicking, or burnout. You won’t be expected to adapt or explain yourself here. This is a space where you can bring your whole self, and be met as you are.

Practice description

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I won’t analyse from a distance or offer quick fixes. Instead, I’ll meet you with warmth and attentiveness, and together we’ll create a space that feels emotionally safe and grounded.

In sessions, we may slow down and explore your present experience—what’s happening in your body, your thoughts, your relationships. At times, we’ll explore your past and how it continues to echo in the present. At other times, we’ll focus on helping you stay with your feelings rather than override them.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. To ease that first step, I offer a free 30-minute consultation. This is an informal conversation to get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit. There’s no pressure—just space for you to ask questions and explore what you need.

My first session

The first session is a chance for you to see if I’m the right therapist for you and how therapy with me feels. This session is different from others because we’ll talk about some of your background. I’ll ask you direct questions, and I’ll also take notes.

The purpose of this session is for you to get a sense of how we work together, for us to explore some important parts of your history and for you to ask questions.
