Availability

I work during the day Monday to Thursday as well as Monday and Tuesday evenings (depending on availability). I work face to face and online.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m Beth and I’m passionate about being a counsellor for sensitive souls who are ready to stop shrinking or people-pleasing, heal old patterns, and reconnect with their true self.

I offer soulful, trauma-informed therapy that helps you build self-trust, calm your nervous system, and live more authentically. Whether you’re exhausted from holding everything together, navigating grief or burnout, or just feeling lost in the swirl of life — you are welcome here.

Whatever has brought you to this point, whether it is: 

  • the ripple effect of childhood wounds, abuse or neglect
  • the end of a relationship, whether loving, abusive or somewhere in between
  • life transitions such as the menopause, divorce or becoming a parent 
  • navigating grief and loss whether through bereavement or other factors such as infertility
  • years of living life for others and not yourself
  • career or workplace disillusionment or difficulties
  • trauma or difficult events that have left you feeling doubtful, scared or empty

I offer a calm, compassionate space to help you reconnect with yourself. A space where it’s safe to be exactly where you are. Where you don’t need to perform or pretend. Just breathe, speak, be.

Taking the next step

I offer a 15 minute online or telephone / video consultation to see if my counselling might be suitable. Please contact me to arrange this. After the telephone / video consultation we would then have an assessment session, during which we can talk about where you are now, where you would like to be and how we can get you there. There is no obligation to continue after the assessment if the counselling doesn't feel like a good fit for you.  

Practice description

How can I support you?

  • Listening and to and honouring your story
  • Using creativity including art, writing and visualisations
  • I can help you live life more mindfully (ie. to live in the present rather than the past or the future)
  • I can help you to process difficult feelings trapped in the body
  • I can help you work with your inner child so that they feel valued and supported
  • I use Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Regulation Therapy (EMDR). This is a method of bringing together past, present and future to help process memories. I would not use this type of therapy unless we had discussed it in advance. Please contact me if you have any questions about this therapy.

Sessions are online and led with warmth, depth and sometimes humour. I bring over seven years of therapeutic experience, and a grounded approach that blends gentle challenge with genuine care.

My first session

 In the first session I will talk to you about our counselling working agreement so that you can be sure you are receiving safe and ethical counselling. I will also conduct a full assessment so that we can make sure I am the right counsellor for you and so that I can plan our sessions more effectively. Occasionally the assessment needs to be continued in the second session.
