About me and my therapy practice

I am a Relate trained couple and family therapist, working with adults, families and young people. I specialise in working with conflict and communication. Having worked as a clinician and supervisor with Relate and Tavistock Relationships, I now I have a private practice in North West London. I also offer sessions online.

I support individuals, couples and families experiencing relationship difficulties. Some are 'stuck,' thinking about events that are difficult to talk about, particularly if they result in arguments. Conversely, there might be another pattern of stuckness - repeated conversations that feel exhausting and worried about the future.

Relationship therapy helps understand how your early experiences shape current significant relationships. Through our work, we develop our ability to listen, understand and empathise; while helping you gain insight into why you may be feeling 'stuck' in repetitive behaviours.

I am particularly passionate about working with difference and diversity. Specifically, I am interested in cross-cultural relationships and being culturally congruent in my practice. I support people from a range of ethnicities, sexualities and faiths. I warmly welcome LGBTQIA individuals; this is a space where your experience is respected and affirmed. I have also supported individuals and relationships where neurodiversity is present. Another area of interest is mental health, particularly depression and anxiety, and how it affects relationships.

Practice description

My primary clinical approach is psychodynamic, wherein we think about what lies underneath our awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviours. However, I may use other modalities (systemic, solution focussed and CBT), thereby tailoring my approach to your specific needs. Our work may be time limited or long term, based on what you find helpful.

I have also completed specialist training in working with couples who are separated and/or considering separation/divorce. I am particularly interested in supporting separating couples and co-parents who are considering this difficult step. Our work together will help you manage the process compassionately and respecfully, while holding children in mind.
