About me and my therapy practice
In my supervision I bring myself and my experience to a shared space in which your clients are the focus and your work is honoured.
I hope if I can share with you some words from my own supervisor, you will feel a sense of how I work as a therapist. Trusting that in my own supervision work with yourself, I will present in the same way and encourage you to connect deeply with your work in an empowering way.
鈥滼ulie is a practitioner of great strength, and ever greater compassion. She has an innate integrity within her that makes her a safe space for people, they can feel accepted鈥 in her presence. She thinks deeply about each client, using her wisdom and experience as a guide in sessions and in life.鈥
I have been working in private practice for over 5 years now, and would describe my work as integrative in the sense that my training was person-centred and to that I have added CBT skills, hypnotherapy training, and continue to develop an interest in how our bodies, mind and emotions are all connected.
Previous to private practice, I set up and developed a school counselling service within which I was based for almost 10years. My experience of working with families and young people, for many years, encourages me to keep in mind the contexts and relevance of legislation in relation to clients.
I stay with what you bring to supervision, sharing thoughts and experience as well as any relevant reading of CPD knowledge with the intention to encourage supervision-appropriate connections with your valid experience, personal opinions and values.
