About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling stuck, or unhappy? Life can sometimes leave us feeling sad and unfulfilled. I'm here to help you explore what is happening and to gain insight into underlying factors. I provide a safe space where you are completely accepted with no judgement at all.
Therapy can help us to get to the root of the pain. We can identify unhelpful beliefs about ourselves, possibly held since childhood, that affect our thinking and hold us back. Recognising these can free us to be our authentic selves, and when we change our thoughts we can change our whole life.
My Qualifications:
- BSc Honours in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Licenced Practitioner Neuro Linguistic Programming
- BA Honours in English Language and Literature
- Fully accredited member of Íø±¬ÃÅ
How I Work:
I use a range of approaches, including CBT to counteract unhelpful thoughts and beliefs held consciously, Psychodynamic to detect unconscious beliefs and tap into the wisdom held in the unconscious, and Person Centred which means recognising, honouring and valuing the unique individuality of each person. Furthermore, I bring my own personal qualities that cannot be learned - intuition, compassion, insight, non-judgemental listening and the ability to connect with others at a deep level.
