About me and my therapy practice
I currently offer sessions in person, on-line (Google Meet or Whatsapp) or by phone
At the heart of my work is self-compassion; learning to use this inner resource more, so that we can really begin to see our experiences through a softer lens.
As an integrative counsellor I work with a variety of models but I tend to lean more towards the psycho-spiritual (not religious) and transpersonal training I have carried out, as these modalities work with and honour the whole person - the soul, spirit, body and the mind. I see my role as one of supporting and encouraging you to understand your thoughts, beliefs and behaviours in a more compassionate way and to honour your journey so far and begin to feel more aligned with your future path. If it feels right, some of the work may include guided meditations and visualisations, breathwork and mindfulness, imagery, movement or creative expression.
As a certified Modern Medicine Woman I can also weave in ancient shamanic practices to work beautifully with the inner wisdom of our souls and allow it a voice.
I appreciate that counselling can feel daunting so to help ease any concerns I offer a warm, friendly welcome and a safe and confidential place where I will listen and support you. I recognise that it can take time to trust someone with your thoughts and feelings so you choose what to discuss and when.
I feel passionate about my work: helping others to help themselves, investing in themselves and their own futures. I believe that we all have that innate drive to become who we were meant to be and that we have the inner resources needed to get there, but we often lose sight of this through life's experiences and social conditioning. Working with a counsellor can help you re-discover your true self, helping you grow as a person and to feel more empowered.

Practice description
My practice is in a lovely welcoming purpose built cabin in my back garden in the centre of Chippenham. There are a few steps up the garden as it is slightly tiered. Free parking is available in and around the street.
I am fully insured, DBS checked and emergency first aid trained.
My first session
In the first session, we will be going through some paperwork, getting a chance to meet each other and address practicalities such as preferred frequency of sessions/days/times etc. Then the rest of the session will enable us to gently start our work together.
At the end of the session there is no obligation for you to return if you do not wish to; I appreciate that many people like to meet with several therapists before settling on the one they feel is right for them.
However, if you would like to continue working with me we can go on to book a second session together.
