About me and my therapy practice
About Me
Counselling: A Journey of Support and Understanding
For over 20 years, I鈥檝e had the privilege of sitting alongside people during some of life鈥檚 most challenging and meaningful moments, offering a safe, non-judgmental space and a compassionate, listening ear.
Over time, I鈥檝e gained a broad range of skills, knowledge, and qualifications. My training includes EMDR, CBT, and Psychodynamic therapy, among others. Rather than taking a 鈥渙ne-size-fits-all鈥 approach, I draw from multiple methods so that we can work together in a way that best supports your personal goals, needs, and pace.
Flexible Scheduling to Suit You
Counselling should feel accessible, not stressful. That鈥檚 why I offer sessions in person, over the phone, or online鈥攕o you can choose the option that feels most comfortable and convenient for you. Morning and evening appointments are available, giving you the flexibility to fit counselling into your life.
A Safe and Supportive Space
I believe everyone deserves a place where they can speak freely, without fear of judgement. My role is to create that space for you鈥攃onfidential, safe, and supportive鈥攕o you feel heard, respected, and valued. Your story is unique, and your journey is honoured every step of the way.
An Approach Designed Around You
No two people experience life in the same way, so your therapy should reflect that. Together, we鈥檒l shape each session around what matters most to you. Whether you are an individual, a couple, or a family, our work will focus on the concerns you bring and the outcomes you hope for. My commitment is to meet you where you are, with respect, compassion, and clarity.
Getting Started
To help you decide if we鈥檙e the right fit, I offer a complimentary 15鈥30-minute telephone call. This is your chance to ask questions and get a sense of how I work.
Practice description
Your first full session (50鈥60 minutes) is about building trust and creating a foundation for our work together. We鈥檒l talk through what has brought you to counselling and begin to explore the direction you鈥檇 like therapy to take. You remain in control of the process鈥攚e move at a pace that feels right for you.
