Hello, my name is Dee Critoph. As an experienced and registered Psychotherapist and Certified ADHD Clinical Services Professional (ADHD-CCSP), I have worked with a diverse range of people struggling with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, feelings of sadness, loneliness and emptiness, low self-esteem and confidence, feelings of guilt & shame, and difficulties in relating to self and others.

ADHD: Recognised and Endorsed by the ADHD Foundation. Certified ADHD Specialist (ADHD-CCSP).
I provide a safe, confidential, professional and non-judgmental service, ensuring a comfortable place to talk, feel heard, explore and make sense of anything that may be troubling you.
I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, depending on what seems most advisable.
Working together, you will have the freedom to explore and reflect on every aspect of your life, from some of your earlier relationships and experiences to what is currently happening in your adult life.
Relationships can be a source of human struggle. The therapeutic relationship itself can be a tool for enhancing self-discovery, and any problems arising from closeness with another person can be experienced and addressed directly within the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, helping you understand and resolve your difficulties by increasing awareness of your inner world and its influence over relationships, both past and present.
Understanding the link between the past and present can be helpful in bringing about new insight and change.

My first session
The first step: What can I expect?
It's completely natural to feel apprehensive and anxious when seeking therapy; it can be daunting, but it is the first step.
Please contact me by phone or email, and we can discuss and arrange a mutually convenient time for an initial consultation to discuss what's troubling you now and the wider picture of your life.
The introductory session would also give you an idea of what it is like to sit with me as a therapist. It carries no obligation to commit; deciding the best therapy for you will require some thought, and the first meeting will help us with that.
The fee for this initial session is £85. Occasionally, a second consultation may be necessary. If we decide to meet on an ongoing basis, we will discuss the ongoing fee and logistics.
Ongoing sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held at the same time and day, at a minimum frequency of once a week.
