About me and my therapy practice

I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, based in Norwich with 10 years of experience. I work with young people, over 16 and adults presenting with a wide range of issues impacting them. I have specific experience counselling people with eating disorders and working with parents during the perinatal period, who may be struggling in the relationship with their baby.

Counselling is an opportunity to explore current or past struggles, which may be leading you to feel distressed or stuck. I offer a warm, empathic, safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, without fear of judgement. Feelings of low mood or anxiety may be leading you to feel like it’s difficult to cope, and you may want to make some changes. I offer a compassionate, therapeutic space to talk about whatever you would like to bring to the session.

Practice description

My approach is relational in nature. I believe talking together about yourself and experiences can lead to insight and therapeutic change. As an integrative counsellor I am influenced by psychodynamic theory and humanistic approaches. I draw on systemic ideas and psychoeducation of attachment and trauma.

I offer short-term and long-term sessions, depending on what you bring to the sessions and what you would like to gain from them.

I am accredited with the UKCP and registered with the Íø±¬ÃÅ. I have a degree in Integrative Counselling. I have worked with children, young people and their families in the NHS, social care and for local charities. I have experience of working with trauma. I have an Enhanced DBS check and Public Liability indemnity insurance.
