About me and my therapy practice
Welcome.
My name is Hannah, and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Registered Member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I am a compassionate and experienced therapist offering support with a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I have particular expertise in trauma, sexual abuse, and domestic abuse, and I’m dedicated to providing a space where you feel truly heard, respected, and supported.
As an experienced therapist, I offer a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship—a space where you can explore any aspect of your life, past or present, at a pace that feels right for you.
My therapeutic approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning I adapt my methods to meet your individual needs. You will always remain at the heart of our work together. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, or your relationship with yourself, I draw on a range of counselling and psychological theories, including CBT skills, to create a tailored and effective therapeutic experience.
I’m also trained in the Flash Technique, a gentle and effective method that can help reduce the distress of traumatic memories without requiring you to relive or talk through the details. This approach can be especially helpful for those who have experienced trauma and want to work at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Practice description
My understanding of mental health is grounded in both extensive study and practice. I hold a BSc in Psychology (Bournemouth University, 2012), where I specialised in attachment theory, alongside a professional counselling qualification.
I am also qualified to work with children aged 10 and above, and have over a decade of experience supporting children from infancy through adolescence in various professional roles. My two Level 3 qualifications in Child Development and Education and Child Psychology enable me not only to offer therapeutic support to young people but also to provide psychological education and guidance for parents who may be facing challenges at home.
My experience spans a diverse range of clients—varying in age, background, and presenting issues. I began my career as an addictions counsellor before specialising in trauma work, supporting survivors of domestic abuse, coercive control, and sexual abuse in a charity setting.
In addition to my counselling work, I deliver specialised training on trauma, sexual abuse, and domestic abuse for a range of organisations.
Above all, I am a people person. While theory and practice are vital, I believe that a strong, genuine, therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change. Taking the time to get to know one another and building trust is at the core of my practice.
My first session
If you’re looking for a warm, friendly, and experienced counsellor, I’d be delighted to hear from you for a no-obligation chat.
I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation over the phone, giving us the chance to talk through what’s brought you here and explore whether we feel like a good fit to work together.
If you choose to continue with counselling, my session fee is £60. Payments can be made in advance via BACS or in cash on the day of your session.
I understand that circumstances can change, and I never want finances to be a barrier to support. If at any point your situation shifts, please feel free to talk to me — we can discuss your options and find a way forward together.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist with experience supporting people through a wide range of mental health difficulties, with a particular specialism in trauma work. This includes extensive experience in areas such as childhood sexual abuse (including online offences) and domestic abuse.
I work therapeutically with adults and young people aged 10 and above, drawing on my ten years of experience supporting children and families in a variety of settings to offer a compassionate and informed approach.
Alongside my counselling work, I also design and deliver bespoke training on topics including trauma-informed practice and domestic abuse awareness for a number of organisations, including through my role at a local charity.
Practice description
As a supervisor, I draw on my training and experience within mental health to offer both practical support and professional guidance around your client work. This may include psychoeducation, exploring interventions, or helping you develop greater confidence in your practice.
Equally important to me is building a genuine and trusting supervisory relationship—one where you also feel safe to bring your own personal reflections and challenges. I place strong emphasis on your well-being as a person, not just as a practitioner, and will work alongside you to support both your personal and professional growth.
I believe that the relationship we build together is at the heart of effective supervision. Through my down-to-earth and approachable style, my aim is to create a space where you feel comfortable to talk openly and honestly about every aspect of your client work.
My first session
Finding the right supervisor is such an important part of your professional journey. If you’d like to explore whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free 30-minute informal chat, giving us the chance to get to know each other and talk through what you’re looking for in supervision.
If you decide to move forward, my fee is £60 per hour, and I can offer sessions either face to face or online via Zoom.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to arrange a chat or find out more — I’d love to hear from you.
