About me and my therapy practice

I’m a counsellor and NLP coach with over twenty years’ experience helping people navigate emotional pain, rebuild confidence, and create more secure, connected relationships. My work focuses on healing after heartbreak, easing anxiety and overthinking, and developing healthy intimacy — with yourself and others.

I understand that coming to therapy can feel daunting. Many of my clients reach out when they’ve been strong for too long — managing work, family, or relationships while feeling disconnected inside. You might find yourself stuck in patterns of self-doubt, perfectionism, or emotional avoidance. Therapy offers a chance to slow down, feel safe, and begin to make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.

My approach combines counselling, mind–body awareness, and psychological coaching. Together, we’ll explore the link between thoughts, emotions, and the nervous system — helping you regulate stress, build resilience, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Whether we’re working through loss, improving communication, or deepening self-trust, our sessions are collaborative and paced to your needs.

Clients describe me as calm, non-judgemental, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and gently challenged toward the changes you want to make. Therapy isn’t about fixing you — it’s about rediscovering your capacity for healing, connection, and growth.

If you’re ready to stop surviving and start living with more clarity and confidence, I’d be honoured to support you on that journey.

Practice description

My practice is built around helping people restore emotional balance, rebuild self-trust, and create healthier, more connected relationships. Whether you’re healing from heartbreak, navigating relationship difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or stress, therapy offers a space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and begin to create lasting change.

I work with adults who want to feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally secure — people who may appear strong and capable on the outside but feel disconnected or uncertain within. Together, we explore the emotional patterns and nervous system responses that shape your relationships, your sense of safety, and how you see yourself.

In our sessions, I integrate counselling, mind–body awareness, and NLP-informed coaching tools. This allows us to work with both the emotional and practical sides of growth — from learning to regulate intense feelings, to understanding how your early experiences influence current dynamics, to building communication and boundary-setting skills that bring more peace and authenticity to daily life.

I offer both short-term focused work and longer-term therapy, depending on your goals and depth of exploration. Sessions are collaborative, at your pace, and always grounded in safety, compassion, and curiosity.

My aim is to help you move from survival to connection — to rediscover a sense of wholeness, self-worth, and confidence in your ability to love, relate, and thrive.

My first session

Your first session is free of charge. It’s a relaxed opportunity for you to ask any questions, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and get a genuine sense of how it feels to work together. There’s no obligation to continue — the focus is on helping you feel comfortable, informed, and supported in choosing the right path for you.

During this initial meeting, we’ll talk about what has led you to seek therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. You’ll have the space to describe any challenges or themes you’d like to explore — whether that’s emotional overwhelm, heartbreak, anxiety, or relationship patterns you’d like to understand and change.

I’ll outline how I work, explain confidentiality, and go through the ethical and legal aspects of our sessions so everything feels clear and transparent. If there are any areas of risk, such as self-harm or suicidal thoughts, I’ll ask a few additional questions to ensure your safety and that the right level of support is in place.

My role is to offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can begin to slow down, reflect, and connect with what matters most to you. If it feels like we’re a good fit, we’ll talk about how ongoing sessions might look and what you’d like to focus on first. If not, I’ll gladly offer guidance or referrals to someone who may be a better match.

The first session is simply a safe, no-pressure space to take that first step and explore whether this feels like the right time — and the right support — for your journey.
