About me and my therapy practice
About me
I am a counsellor who offers a safe and supportive space to talk about whatever feels difficult right now. People often come to me when they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward.
How I Work
I see counselling as a conversation where we can make sense of things together. Sometimes that means exploring past experiences, other times it’s about focusing on what’s happening day to day. My role is to listen, understand, and help you find new perspectives and ways of coping that feel right for you.
What You Might Gain
Counselling can give you space to untangle your thoughts and feelings, build resilience, and develop a clearer sense of yourself. Many people find they leave with a stronger ability to manage challenges and a greater sense of calm and confidence in their lives.
I am accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means that I am a regulated member of Counselling organisations and adhere to their codes of ethics.
Next Steps
I offer a free 15-minute consultation, giving you the chance to see if counselling with me feels like the right fit.
Practice description
As a Humanistic Psychotherapist, I work in an integrative way, drawing on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Emotion-Focused Therapy approaches. This means our work together will always be tailored to your needs, your pace, and your story.
Starting counselling or supervision can feel like a big step — especially if you’re not sure what to expect. My aim is to make the process as clear, comfortable, and supportive as possible from the very beginning.
Here’s what the journey typically looks like:
Initial Contact
You’re welcome to get in touch by email or phone. Whether you already know what support you’re looking for or just want to explore your options, this is the first step in opening a conversation.
I offer a no-obligation 15-minute phone consultation. This is a chance for us to briefly discuss your needs, answer any questions you might have, and get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit to work together.
There’s no pressure — just a calm, informal chat.
Our sessions together:
Sessions typically last around 50 minutes. They’re your space to explore whatever feels important — at your own pace.
In counselling, this may mean working through a specific issue, managing change, or exploring deeper patterns. In supervision, it may involve reflecting on client work, ethical dilemmas, or your professional growth.
Counselling offers a confidential, compassionate space to explore what’s happening in your life, make sense of difficult experiences, and reconnect with your own inner resources and direction.
My first session
Your First Counselling Session
Your first session is really about giving you space to settle in and see how counselling might feel for you. We’ll spend some time getting to know each other and talking about what has brought you here. I’ll explain how counselling works in simple terms — including confidentiality and how I keep our sessions safe. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and there’s no pressure to dive straight into difficult topics. This time is yours, and it’s about creating a calm, supportive space where you can start at your own pace.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and other helping professionals, providing a safe and reflective space to explore your work and your wellbeing as a practitioner. Supervision is an essential part of ethical practice, supporting you in maintaining professional standards while also giving you space to process the personal impact of your work.
In our sessions, we can focus on case discussions, themes that arise in practice, and how your own experiences may influence your client work. My approach is collaborative — combining support with gentle challenge — to help you feel resourced, confident, and professionally grounded.
My aim is to create a supervision relationship where you feel valued, safe to reflect openly, and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally.
Practice description
My Supervision Style
My practice is rooted in a relational and integrative approach, drawing on trauma-informed and person-centred perspectives. I believe supervision should be both supportive and developmental, offering space to reflect, to question, and to grow. I value openness and honesty in the supervisory relationship, and I aim to create a balance where you feel encouraged, challenged, and respected as a practitioner.
My first session
Our first supervision session is a chance to begin building our working relationship and to explore what you hope to gain from supervision. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing your current practice, and identifying the areas where you would like support or development.
I will explain how I work as a supervisor, including confidentiality, professional boundaries, and what you can expect from me. Together we will agree on a supervision contract that sets out how we will work together and ensures the space feels safe, ethical, and supportive.
This first meeting is also about giving you the opportunity to decide whether my style feels like the right fit for you. There is no pressure to bring detailed case material straight away — instead, it’s about creating a foundation of trust and openness so that our future sessions can feel both supportive and productive.
