Availability

I try and offer as much flexibility as possible for my clients as I understand life is not always straightforward and people often have other responsibilities they need to work around.

About me and my therapy practice

I have been a practicing counselling therapist for 10+ years and I have worked with young people, adults, couples and families.

I offer a warm and friendly, non-judgemental therapy experience that allows you to share what it is that might be causing you stress or upset in your life.  Talking about it can help you to see what is causing the distress and together we can work out what will help you to understand events and experiences and how to move forwards.

For couples and family therapy we will look at how the relationships operate and together identify what the diffiulties might be. From there we will explore ways forward to meet your needs and overcome the difficulties.

Practice description

I use several different theoretical models of counselling - psychodynamic, person centred, solution focused, cognitive behavioural therapy, and systemic, depending on the individual needs of the client.

I am experienced in working with trauma and abuse, grief and difficult family relationships.  I have also worked extensively with teenagers and young people.

Availability

I have availability to offer monthly supervision which can be delivered face to face or online or a combination of both.

I prefer face to face sessions to start and will try and be as flexible as possible with days and times as I understand that sometimes there are other responsibilities that need to be worked around.

I believe supervision is really important and can make a big difference to how supported we feel in delivering therapeutic services to our clients.

About me and my therapy practice

I have been a practicing therapist for 10+ years and a clinical supervisor for 5 years.

I believe that all therapists deserve to have a good supervisor who is going to be their support and help them unpick the difficulties they encounter through the work.

Good supervision is achieved by having a good relationship which is based on honesty and authenticity where both people feel they can share their truth and explore feelings and impact of the work, as well as reviewing client work.

It should benefit both the counsellor and the client.

Practice description

I work with supervisees by getting to know them as therapists and getting to know their working practices.

Using the cyclical theoretical framework of clinical supervision we explore and examine the counselling practice and experience of the therapist. We take a helicopter view of the processes and dynamics in the relationship and look at possible subconscious elements to working with clients.

I work within the Íø±¬ÃÅ ethical framework and ensure the work meets high ethical standards.

Clients I work with
