About me and my therapy practice
I work in a compassionate, non- judgmental and respectful way with clients from all walks of life on a wide range of psychological and emotional issues.
I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist which means I have been trained in a range of psychotherapeutic approaches and am able to tailor my approach to fit your specific needs. I am also a fully trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapist.
As we explore your current difficulties we may look at the emotional, social and physical aspects of your experience. We will look at your present as well as your past experiences, which influence how you live now and the relationships you have with other people.
Working collaboratively in this way can help you make sense of what you are feeling and why, giving you a deeper understanding of yourself, finding new ways to cope, and different ways of responding to your current difficulties.
I worked in the legal profession for 20 years and so understand the opportunities and challenges of working in a high-pressured professional environment. I have a particular focus working with legal professionals, business people and academics and exploring the impact our work environment has on our emotional and physical wellbeing.

I am a director at Lawsight Ltd, providing counselling and mental health support to lawyers. I am part of a team of psychotherapists with a background in the legal profession, supporting individual growth and enhancing professional life.

About me and my therapy practice
I have over 10 years’ experience as a relational and embodied Integrative Psychotherapist (with an Msc in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute). I am currently completing my clinical supervision training at CSTD (Centre for Supervision and Training and Development), Bath.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on relational, humanistic, psychodynamic and social/contextual perspectives. I am also a trauma-informed therapist. I am fully trained in EMDR and incorporate somatic approaches into my work.
My supervision training and way of working as a supervisor is based on the ‘Seven-eyed Model’ of supervision (developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet). The model considers the supervision relationship from different viewpoints, including; reflecting on the client, the supervisee's interventions, the relationship between the client and the supervisee and the wider systemic context.
I see supervision as a joint and collaborative engagement. I offer a containing and reflective space in which all matters relating to your work and development as a therapist can be explored. I offer support, encouragement and respectful challenge so you can enhance your practice, maintain ethical standards, feel supported yourself and importantly enjoy your work.
My focus in supervision is on the relationship and process both in the supervisory and therapeutic relationships. A consistent thread is bringing awareness to parallel process, the manner by which unconscious dynamics between the therapist and the client are enacted in the relationship between the supervisor and the supervisee. Words are often not enough so I include embodied, and imaginative approaches to help bring the client to life in the room between us.
I offer online supervision to individual counsellors and therapists at all stages of their career at a reduced rate of £35 for each hour of supervision whilst I am completing my training. Fees will increase after qualification.
