Thank you for considering me as your counsellor. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered counsellor and psychologist with extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping you find clarity, connection, and personal growth.

I work primarily online, offering flexible sessions tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. Whether you are facing stress, relationship difficulties, or seeking greater self-understanding, I provide a safe, confidential space where you can explore your feelings and experiences without judgment.

My practice integrates evidence-based methods with a relational approach, focusing on building trust and meaningful connection. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey — one where your voice is heard, your experiences validated, and your goals honoured.

If you are looking for a counsellor who listens deeply and challenges gently, I invite you to get in touch. Together, we can work towards greater well-being and a more authentic life.

Practice description

My counselling practice is focused on creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges openly. I work with individuals and couples facing a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.

I offer primarily online sessions, which provide flexibility and accessibility for clients across the Netherlands and beyond. Sessions typically last 50–60 minutes and can be scheduled during regular business hours or occasional evenings to accommodate your availability.

My approach is relational and integrative, drawing on evidence-based models tailored to each person’s needs. I value honesty, emotional clarity, and practical tools that support sustainable change. Together, we focus on uncovering underlying patterns, improving communication, and strengthening resilience.

Clients can expect a collaborative process where their goals and values guide the work. I provide a confidential space to build insight, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

Whether you are seeking short-term support or longer-term therapy, my practice is here to accompany you with presence, professionalism, and genuine care.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to explore your reasons for seeking counselling. During this initial meeting, I will invite you to share your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through therapy.

This session usually lasts 60 minutes and is charged at the standard rate. There is no separate or reduced fee for the first session.

Before our meeting, I may ask you to complete a brief intake questionnaire to help me better understand your needs and tailor the session accordingly. This questionnaire covers basic personal information, current concerns, and relevant history. It is confidential and used solely to support your care.

The first session also includes discussing practicalities such as confidentiality, session structure, cancellation policy, and answering any questions you may have about the process.

At the end of the session, we will discuss how to proceed and whether my approach aligns with your needs. You are under no obligation to continue if you feel this is not the right fit.

My aim is to create a comfortable, supportive space from the outset, where you feel heard and understood. If you choose to continue, subsequent sessions typically focus on building insight, developing strategies, and working toward your goals.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions before booking your first session.

Availability

I currently have availability for new clients in my practices in Nyon (Wednesdays, Fridays, and alternate Saturdays), Lausanne (Thursdays), and online (Monday to Saturday). Sessions are available in English and are typically 60 or 90 minutes long.

I work with individuals, couples, and men navigating change, inner tension, or relationship challenges. This includes communication breakdowns, emotional disconnect, stress, grief, shame, or major life transitions. I also support expats adjusting to life in Switzerland or living across languages and cultures.

My work with men often centres on finding clarity, reconnecting to emotion, or untangling deep-seated patterns that show up in relationships, parenting, or identity. With couples, I offer a structured and honest space to repair disconnection, address conflict, and rebuild emotional or physical intimacy. I use the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy to support this process.

Evening appointments are available on Thursdays in Lausanne (until 21:00), and online sessions can be arranged flexibly across time zones. If you're unsure whether working together would be a good fit, you're welcome to reach out for a free 20-minute introductory chat.

I am based in Switzerland and work both in-person and remotely with clients across Europe and internationally. Any planned time off (e.g. for holidays) is communicated well in advance.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling to individuals, couples, and men who want to engage with life more fully — even when that means facing what’s hard, stuck, or painful.

My approach is relational, emotionally honest, and practical. I don’t sit back and nod. I’m involved, engaged, and not afraid to name what I see. Clients often tell me they feel both deeply heard and respectfully challenged — a combination that helps shift patterns rather than just analyse them.

I work with people navigating relationship breakdowns, emotional shutdown, anxiety, grief, shame, burnout, and major life transitions. I also support expats dealing with dislocation, cross-cultural dynamics, or loneliness in a new country.

With couples, I combine the Gottman Method with Relational Life Therapy. This work is structured, direct, and often transformative — especially for partners who are stuck in repeating patterns or struggling with intimacy, trust, or communication.

My work with men often explores what it means to show up more fully — as a father, partner, or human being. We look at emotional literacy, self-worth, anger, numbness, or inherited expectations. No need to already have the words.

I hold a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, and I’ve lived and worked across Africa, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Sessions are offered in English, online or in person, in Nyon and Lausanne.

Practice description

You can expect honesty, warmth, and active engagement when we work together. I don’t offer generic advice or endless analysis. I help you get clear on what’s really going on — and support you in making real shifts, not just coping better.

In individual counselling, people come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. You might be navigating relationship challenges, burnout, anxiety, emotional shutdown, grief, or shame. You don’t need to have the perfect words — just a willingness to explore what matters.

I offer couples counselling for those caught in conflict, distance, or painful loops. Using tools from the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy, I help partners reconnect emotionally, speak and hear difficult truths, and rebuild trust and intimacy. It’s not about blame — it’s about repair.

I also specialise in working with men who want to show up more fully — in life, in relationships, or as fathers. Our work might focus on emotional awareness, anger, self-worth, identity, or shifting long-held patterns that no longer serve.

Sessions are available in English, online or in person, in Nyon and Lausanne. I also work with clients across Europe and internationally.

Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes — but it also isn’t endless. If something needs to shift, we’ll work toward that, steadily and clearly.

My first session

Before committing to ongoing sessions, I offer a free 20-minute video call to help us get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no obligation — just a chance to briefly talk through what’s going on for you, what you’re looking for, and how I work.

If we decide to continue, the first full session lasts 60 or 90 minutes (depending on your preference). This session is the same rate as any regular session. I don’t offer discounted first sessions — but I do aim to make that first meeting meaningful, clear, and useful from the start.

In the first session, we explore what brings you to therapy, what you'd like to change or better understand, and what you hope to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to tell your whole life story — we begin with what’s most alive or urgent.

For couples, I usually ask to hear from each partner and to get a sense of the recurring patterns, ruptures, or topics that are difficult to talk about. If needed, we may arrange individual sessions for each partner before continuing joint work.

You’ll receive a brief intake form by email before the first session, which helps us get started with a bit more focus. You're welcome to share as much or as little as feels right in that form.

Sessions are held in English, either in person (in Nyon or Lausanne) or online. Evening and Saturday slots are available.
