About me and my therapy practice

I am a person-centred experiential therapist and qualified clinical supervisor with over 11 years of experience. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect. Whether in therapy or supervision, I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, valued, and able to work at your own pace.

Practice description

In therapy, I work primarily with women who may be experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, painful relationships, or the impact of past trauma. Many of my clients feel caught between cultural, religious, or generational expectations, and are seeking a space where they can truly be themselves. My style is non-judgmental and culturally sensitive, helping clients explore intergenerational dynamics, cultural or religious pressures, and the experience of being 鈥渃aught between two worlds.鈥 Together, we work toward clarity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Alongside therapy, I am a qualified supervisor. I provide supervision for both trainee and qualified therapists, including those working with children, young people, and adults. Supervision with me is reflective and person-centred, offering a space to deepen practice, strengthen ethical decision-making, and build confidence when navigating the complexities of client work.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so that we can talk through your needs and you can get a sense of whether working with me feels like the right fit.

If you decide to go ahead, your first full session will be a chance for us to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. We鈥檒l talk about your background, what you hope to gain, and how we might work together. We鈥檒l also agree on practical details such as the frequency and format of our sessions.

From the outset, my aim is to create a warm, respectful, and professional space where you feel supported and safe to begin your journey.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision in a relational, person-centred, and anti-oppressive way. Supervision with me is a collaborative process where we explore your practice, reflect on challenges, and strengthen ethical decision-making. My focus is on supporting you to feel confident, effective, and grounded, while always keeping client wellbeing at the centre.

Practice description

I supervise both trainee and qualified counsellors, as well as professionals in other helping roles. My approach draws on my experience as both a practitioner and academic, giving me insight into professional development, placement challenges, and transitions within practice.

I support supervisees working with:

  • Children, young people, and adults.
  • Unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees.
  • Clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Supervision is available in person, online, or by telephone. When working remotely, I help practitioners consider the ethical, practical, and relational aspects of online and telephone counselling, ensuring they feel confident and well-equipped in these settings.

My first session

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and establish how we鈥檒l work together. We鈥檒l explore your professional background, your current client work, and your expectations of supervision. Together, we鈥檒l agree on the focus, boundaries, and structure of our sessions, including practical aspects such as frequency and format.

This initial session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and ensure that my way of working feels like a good fit for you. The aim is to create a safe, supportive, and reflective space from the very beginning.
