About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Íø±¬ÃÅ registered counsellor, mental health wellbeing coach & Trauma informed recovery therapist and coach.
I specialise in, but am not limited to, working with women dealing with relationship & family issues, emotional abuse, bullying, narcissistic abuse, low self esteem and lack of confidence, chronic pain, anxiety, panic, depression, stress & feelings of overwhelm.
I have had extensive specialist training and experience working with women looking to recover from traumatic adult relationships where they experienced emotional, or psychological abuse. I am a narcissistic abuse recovery specialist.
I also specialise with working with women looking to heal from past childhood emotional abuse or neglect.
Life can be challenging. Traumatic events, constant stress, other peoples' behaviour, and so much more, can heavily impact us, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and struggling to cope.
I can offer you a safe, confidential, non judgemental space to talk through the emotional challenges you are experiencing, so you can feel safe, believed, valued, heard and understood and gain a better understanding of what you are experiencing. Together we can work on healing anything that needs healing, and work on any fears, worries, concerns, negative beliefs, or unhelpful patterns of behaviour, you want to change, so you can free yourself from them.
I work with an integrative, solution focused approach, supporting you, to find the root cause of your issues, rather than just helping you manage the symptoms, so you can work on eliminating them and achieve permanent, lasting, beneficial change and then move forward with your life feeling emotionally stronger, happier and freer.
Often the challenges we are facing in the present day are compounded by events from our past, that have subconsciously been re-triggered; making a hard time feel even worse. So there may be elements of looking back to see how your past could be playing out for you in the present.
Practice description
I run a private practice in Woking and can work either in person or online via zoom, depending on my clients' preferences.
My private practice days are Monday - Friday. I work evenings too.
There is no minimum requirement for the number of sessions you have. You are free to stop anytime that feels right for you.
Sessions lasts for 1 hour. Ideally they will take place weekly at an agreed time, but where possible I will try to be flexible.
My first session
It is important that you find the right counsellor for you. Who makes you feel safe and comfortable and understands your needs and what you are going through. I therefore offer a free 20 minute, no obligation initial consultation which you can do either by zoom or on the telephone. This will give you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has been going on for you and what you would like to get out of coming for counselling. It will also give you a chance to meet me, learn a little about how I work and how I could support you so you can make an informed decision on whether working with me would feel right for you.
When you feel happy to proceed you will be required to sign a counselling contract and fill out a short assessment form. We will then book a time for your first session.
