About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where you can explore what’s going on for you at a pace that feels right. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, which means we might explore how your past relationships and experiences may be influencing your present patterns, feelings, and behaviours.
Together, we’ll look at both what’s happening on the surface and what might be going on underneath—bringing deeper understanding, clarity, and the potential for change. I don’t offer advice or quick fixes, but I do offer a therapeutic relationship built on trust, curiosity, and respect, where you can feel safe enough to be real.
Sessions are weekly and usually last for 50 minutes. I currently offer online counselling, with plans to offer face-to-face sessions in the near future. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can be a valuable and transformative space.
Practice description
Welcome. I'm a qualified and accredited psychodynamic counsellor offering a warm, grounded space for you to explore whatever may be troubling you. I work with adults on a one-to-one basis and aim to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, and respected.
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I believe that many of our emotional struggles—like anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties or feeling stuck—can be better understood when we gently explore the deeper experiences that may have shaped us. Psychodynamic therapy is especially useful in helping us make sense of patterns we find ourselves repeating, even when they no longer serve us.
Whether you're coming to therapy during a crisis, navigating a change, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I offer a steady, thoughtful presence to support you. I don't offer advice or quick solutions—but I do offer a space where you can begin to feel more connected to yourself, your needs, and your potential for change.
Sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly, and currently held online. I bring over a decade of experience in mental health settings including private practice, EAP, and voluntary services. If you're considering therapy, you're welcome to get in touch for a FREE initial conversation.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to begin thinking about what’s bringing you to therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance—just come as you are.
This initial session is slightly different from ongoing sessions. I’ll ask some questions to get a sense of your current concerns, background, and hopes for therapy, and you’ll have the chance to ask questions too. It’s also a space for you to get a feel for how I work, and to see if it feels like a good fit for you.
I offer this first session FREE OF CHARGE. It lasts 30 - 50 minutes and is held online via a secure platform. There’s no obligation to continue beyond this point, but if we decide to work together, we’ll agree a regular weekly time for ongoing sessions.
If you’d like to arrange a first session, feel free to get in touch.
