I work in my private practice in person on Tuesdays and at other times online via Zoom. My room is just 5 minutes work from Kingston bus and train stations.
About me and my therapy practice
There are times in everyone's life when we might feel angry, sad, worried or anxious and this is perfectly normal. However, if you are looking for support through a difficult time or want to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, then having the opportunity to talk openly and freely with a counsellor can help. Counselling and self-exploration can move you toward a more positive and enjoyable life, bringing you closer to living your life well and being the person you want to be.
I provide a safe and confidential space where you can talk - without fear of judgement - about the issues in your life that may be uncomfortable, confusing or painful. This can help you manage difficult feelings, find new ways of relating to yourself and others, support you through life crises or life changes.
Working together, we can look at your experience and feelings, find different ways of coping and see what options you might have for making changes or perhaps for adapting to the things you can't change in life.
Practice description
I offer a 15 minute initial no obligation phone consultation to talk through with you what to expect and see if I am a good "fit" for the issues you want to explore.
After that and if we decide to proceed, sessions last 50 minutes and ideally take place at the same time each week. I maintain strict confidentiality boundaries and can talk to you more about this when we get going.
My first session
Our first session will take the form of an assessment, where I get a bit of background information (biographical, historical) from you. This will also be an opportunity for you to say a bit more about why you have come for counselling at this time.
