About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and I will help you explore your world. With a compassionate and flexible approach, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s unique needs.

By integrating different modalities, I support clients in understanding the roots of their difficulties, while also equipping them with practical tools for change. I work holistically, considering emotional, mental, and relational aspects of well-being, and I aim to foster greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-acceptance.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Whether you’re seeking support during a difficult time, or looking to explore deeper personal growth, I offer a safe and confidential environment where you can feel heard and empowered.

I also have a specialist focus on supporting individuals living with chronic illness. I provide a calm, non-judgmental space where clients can explore the emotional, physical, and psychological impact of living with disability and long-term health conditions such as autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, and other invisible illnesses.

Living with chronic illness often involves more than just managing symptoms—it can affect identity, relationships, work, and mental well-being. I work collaboratively with clients to navigate these challenges, offering support in coping with grief and loss, fatigue, frustration, fear, anxiety, and the sense of isolation that can often accompany long-term illness. I have a special understanding of ME/CFS with all the language and issues that are involved.

Therapeutic Approach

As an integrative practitioner, I tailor each session to the individual to support whole-person healing. I aim to create a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen and understood, while also gently challenged toward meaningful change. I believe healing occurs through the relationship between client and counsellor and will always promote client well-being, especially within the limits of any existing illness.

I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (2008) and an MSc in Psychotherapy Studies (2014).

I offer email counselling, all forms of online counselling, and telephone counselling. I do not offer face-to-face counselling.
