About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding life really hard at the moment 鈥 feeling stuck or caught in the same emotional place, with no one to turn to? You might be feeling anxious or low, with spiralling thoughts that are hard to switch off and keep you awake at night. Perhaps you feel trapped in addictive behaviours that feel impossible to break, or you鈥檝e recently had an ADHD diagnosis (or suspect you might have ADHD) which has raised questions about how you navigate life.
I offer a warm, confidential space where you can talk openly about what鈥檚 going on for you, without fear of judgment. Together, we can explore what鈥檚 behind the way you feel and identify strategies and tools to help you move forward 鈥 breaking patterns that may be holding you back. Having lived experience of ADHD, addiction, and anxiety and depression myself, I understand how overwhelming and frightening things can sometimes feel 鈥 but I also know there is a way through, towards a healthier, more balanced way of being, and a greater enjoyment of life.
With over 20 years鈥 experience supporting people through a wide variety of life challenges, my particular areas of focus are anxiety and depression, ADHD, addictions, and relationship issues. I draw on CBT and trauma-informed approaches, having trained with Dr Gabor Mat茅, and have also completed specialist CBT training to support clients with ADHD. I offer a safe, compassionate space where we can explore and understand in greater depth what might be going on for you 鈥 both consciously and unconsciously. By bringing what lies beneath the surface into awareness, change becomes possible.
For more information and testimonials from previous clients I invite you to have a browse through my website where you can find more information about me and the way I work.
Practice description
I offer a range of approaches depending on your individual needs and include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It helps you notice unhelpful patterns in thinking or reacting and learn practical ways to change them. The aim is to develop healthier ways of coping and responding, so you can feel better and manage challenges more effectively.
- Trauma Informed Therapy (Compassionate Inquiry) is a gentle, curiosity-based approach that helps you explore what鈥檚 happening beneath your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It invites you to look with kindness at your inner experiences, become mindful of feelings originating in your body and uncovering patterns & beliefs that may have developed from past experiences. Through this awareness, you can begin to understand yourself more deeply and move toward greater self-acceptance and healing.
- Person Centred Therapy a warm, non-judgemental approach that focuses on you as the expert in your own life. It offers a safe space to explore your feelings and experiences at your own pace, with empathy & understanding. The aim is to help you gain clarity, self-acceptance, and confidence to make choices that feel right for you.
I also draw from the following approaches:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) an approach that helps you explore the different 鈥減arts鈥 of yourself - the feelings, thoughts, or behaviours that may sometimes be in conflict. By getting to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, you can understand yourself more deeply, heal emotional wounds, and feel more balanced and whole
- Creative Arts uses art, images and sandtray expression to explore feelings and experiences that can be hard to put into words. You don鈥檛 need to be 鈥渁rtistic鈥 at all and is a really effective way to understand what might be going on for you unconsciously and driving unhelpful patterns
- Transactional Analysis (TA) helps understand relationships by exploring the 'games' we play
My first session
I offer a complementary 15 minute zoom call. This gives you the opportunity to meet me, ask any initial questions, and get a sense of how I work as well as the chance for both of us to decide if we are a 'good match'. This can also take place as a phone call if you would prefer.
During your first session I will invite you to talk about what brings you to therapy and for us to use the session to get to know each other. You will probably feel quite nervous which is completely normal as you don't know me and you'll be either coming into my practice or meeting me on zoom which can feel a bit overwhelming but it's a positive and courageous step to take and I'll do my best to put you at ease and go at your pace. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions you might have and know that all questions are welcome!
We'll take time to think about what you would like to gain from attending and what it was that brought you to therapy but there's no pressure and it might be that you simply want to try it out and see if it's for you.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you a trainee therapist looking for a supervisor to help guide you in your practice? Or maybe you are an experienced practitioner looking for someone to discuss clients with and gain a deeper perspective. You could also be working for an organisation and simply need an external supervisor to assist you in managing your clients and to understand dynamics that might be arising between you unconsciously.
I work as an independent supervisor either in person or online and can work alongside you with the shared aim of uncovering blocks which may arise when working with clients; it happens to all of us! As well as ensuring safe and ethical working.
I qualified as a supervisor with The Gestalt Centre, London in 2016 and completed a Group Supervision training certificate with The Centre for Counselling and Pyschotherapy Education (CCPE) with Robin Shoet in 2018. I have also completed Gabor Mat茅's Compassionate Inquiry training, a trauma informed approach which has hugely influenced both my work as a therapist and supervisor. I also have my own therapy practice where I see clients for counselling and psychotherapy.
I work both in person and online

Practice description
As a supervisor I believe it is important for me to understand your needs as a therapist and to develop a relationship with you that enables you to feel safe enough to be open and honest about how you are working with clients and the challenges you might be facing. Clients can bring up all kinds of emotions in us as therapists and can at times be quite triggering which makes supervision a really vital part of the process.
I also understand and am mindful of how we can all feel quite vulnerable and even anxious whilst discussing clients outside of sessions and I do my best to ensure that I provide a safe, trusting space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and reflect without fear of judgment.
Clinical supervision is an essential part of ethical and effective counselling practice. I will provide you with a confidential, supportive space to:
- Reflect on your work 鈥 to think through client sessions and explore what鈥檚 going well or where you might feel stuck.
- Ensure client safety 鈥 by discussing complex or challenging situations to maintain safe and ethical practice.
- Gain perspective 鈥 another professional view can help identify blind spots and new ways of understanding clients.
- Develop skills and confidence 鈥 supervision encourages ongoing learning, growth, and professional development.
- Look after your own wellbeing 鈥 I offer emotional support and help prevent burnout or compassion fatigue.
- Maintain accountability and standards 鈥 ensuring work stays in line with ethical frameworks and professional guidelines.
I offer individual and group supervision to both qualified therapists and therapists in training either in person or online. I offer some concessions to therapists in training.
My first session
Our first supervision session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see whether the way I work feels like a good fit for you. We鈥檒l talk about your current client work, your professional background, and what you鈥檇 like to gain from supervision. There鈥檚 no pressure to bring specific material right away 鈥 it鈥檚 more about beginning to build a trusting, collaborative relationship where you can feel supported and safe to explore your work openly.
