About me and my therapy practice
I am a Humanistic Psychotherapist, passionate about supporting people through the life changing experiences of baby loss in all its forms (single and recurrent miscarriage, stillbirth, termination for medical reasons, ectopic pregnancies, etc); pregnancy anxiety; birth trauma; and fertility challenges (including IVF and donor conception).
I have personal lived experience in many of these areas, which I hope deepens my empathy and understanding of what you are going through, enabling greater relational depth and trust between us.
I'm a member of The British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA), have been trained by the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity (SANDS) and I'm about to embark on further advanced professional development with the Foundation For Infant Loss (FIL).
Outside of the fertility space, I also continuously support clients experiencing other forms of grief and loss - whether this is the death of a loved one, a relationship ending, a chapter of life closing or even the loss of a dream/purpose.
A little about how we'd work together: I strive to meet you as an equal. I’m not an expert, nor do I provide answers or solutions. Instead, my role is to metaphorically walk alongside you as an empathic, non-judgemental facilitator. I believe that both you and our relationship are completely unique, so I work with whatever you bring to our sessions....
Perhaps you simply need to be seen and heard; to be able to tell your story without feeling criticised or minimised. To be held in your grief, exactly as you are, and for your experiences to feel valid. Or you may prefer that I take on a more active role in our therapeutic relationship, empowering and challenging you to gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships; explore how purpose and meaning might be evolving in your life; to take more risks and recognise your potential for growth.
Practice description
As my clients are located across the UK and Europe, I now exclusively offer Zoom sessions.
Sessions last for 60 minutes and we can meet on either a time-limited or ongoing basis, depending on your needs and preferences.
My rate is £60 per hour, with concessions for students and NHS workers.
My first session
I offer a free, introductory 30 minute session via Zoom, to help you to decide if I'm the right therapist for you.
During this session, we'd explore what you hope to gain from therapy and how we would work together. I welcome your questions too.
Feel free to reach out to arrange your introductory session.
