About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I am an experienced integrative counsellor, qualified since 2014, and I work with adults, children, and young people. Over the past decade, I’ve supported people through many different challenges, always with the same core aim: to provide a safe, confidential space where you feel truly heard, valued, and understood.
My passion for counselling comes from my own lived experience of growing up with a disability. This often left me feeling different, isolated, and less capable at school, in my teens, and into adulthood. While difficult, this journey gave me a deep empathy for others who feel unseen or overwhelmed and shaped my belief that with the right support, healing and growth are possible.
My Approach
I work in an integrative way, drawing on different approaches to suit you as an individual. This might include person-centred therapy (a warm, non-judgemental space to explore your feelings), CBT (looking at unhelpful thoughts and behaviours), psychodynamic insights (understanding how the past affects the present), or creative methods, particularly with children and young people.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective counselling. If you feel safe and respected, you can begin to explore your experiences and make sense of what feels difficult.
Practice description
What to Expect
Starting counselling can feel daunting, and it’s normal to feel unsure about what to expect. In our first session, we’ll spend time exploring what has brought you here and what you’d like to gain from counselling. There’s no pressure to share everything straight away – we go at the pace that feels right for you.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can take place in person in Churchdown, Gloucestershire, or online if you prefer. Everything you share is treated with care, confidentiality, and respect.
What I Work With
Anxiety and stress
Low mood and depression
Trauma and difficult life experiences
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Grief, loss, and bereavement

With young people, I understand the importance of patience, creativity, and building trust at their pace. I often use creative or play-based approaches to help children express feelings that may feel too overwhelming to put into words.

About me and my therapy practice
About Me as a Supervisor
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor, supporting practitioners who work with both adults and children/young people. I have worked across a range of roles including as School Counsellor, Senior Counsellor, Clinical Manager within a CYP counselling service (Lets Talk Well, previously known as TIC+). This has given me valuable insight into the realities of counselling practice, from the rewards of the work to the challenges of safeguarding, ethical dilemmas, and the emotional demands of client work.
My supervision style is relational, supportive, and reflective. I aim to create a safe space where you feel comfortable to bring your client work openly and honestly, while also being challenged to think critically and grow in confidence as a practitioner.
My Supervisory Approach
I use the 7-eyed model of supervision as the foundation for my practice. This model allows us to explore your work from seven different perspectives.
This model helps us move fluidly between the client’s experience, your professional practice, the dynamics in the therapeutic relationship, and how all of this plays out within the supervisory space.
I believe supervision should be both supportive and stretching. Together, we will reflect on the clinical, ethical, and relational aspects of your work while also paying attention to your wellbeing and growth as a counsellor.
Taking the Next Step
Finding the right supervisor is a key part of your professional journey. If you’re looking for a relational space where you can feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow, I’d be glad to talk with you.
Please get in touch if you’d like to arrange an initial conversation to see whether we are a good supervisory fit.
