About me and my therapy practice
I have been practising as a psychotherapist for over 25 years. I have worked in private practice for 21 years where I provide brief and open-ended counselling and psychotherapy on a once and twice a week basis. I am a clinical supervisor to both trainee and qualified therapists.
I have been part of a mental health team for the NHS in both primary care and outpatient psychiatric units. I have also worked as a counsellor with several mental health charities.
For 15 years I was a trainer to therapists in training: I was a visiting lecturer within the School of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire. I was a trainer and clinical supervisor for first year through to finalist year psychotherapy students at both The Counselling Foundation and The Minster Centre and, and I have many years of experience in running experiential training groups for trainee therapists.
Prior to training as a psychotherapist and counsellor I had a career in publishing as a writer and editor for international organisations in the UK, Israel and South Africa.
