About me and my therapy practice
I am a Íø±¬ÃÅ accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist who draws on my experience and knowledge to provide therapy in a safe, supportive and confidential manner. I believe in the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client to be key, built on trust so that a shared open alliance can form.
Mental health impacts on one in four people in the UK during the course of their lives and a therapeutic intervention can be very beneficial to those who suffer from depression, anxiety, bereavement, PTSD, OCD, alcohol and drug misuse, addiction, low self-esteem, panic attacks/phobias, stress and health anxiety.
Experience
I have a wealth of experience of psychological intervention having worked in various multi-disciplinary work settings including NHS IAPT services (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). Alcohol and Drug misuse services, renowned private residential rehabs and prison. I have also had a successful private practice in Harley Street and in the Home Counties and now work from Guildford and Horsham and can also offer remote therapy on either Zoom or by phone. I presently facilitate Group therapy remotely for Castle Craig Private Addiction Rehab and also work individually with clients to continue their treatment after leaving residential care.
My experience has covered various issues including but not exhaustive of anxiety, depression, stress, abuse, relationships, work, self-harm, alcohol and drug problems. Addiction, gambling, sex, eating disorders, porn and the internet.
Approach
I use various contemporary research and evidence based therapeutic models including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), MET (Motivational Enhancement Therapy) and Humanistic Person -centred therapy to help facilitate change and help people with various issues to live more balanced lives.
Practice description
I work from Therapy rooms in the Centre of Guildford and Horsham and can also work remotely if required.
