Making the decision to seek help with some of the problems life can throw at us is daunting, but a brave move to make when you feel that you are struggling or experiencing difficulties. I am able to offer a warm, safe and calm environment, free of judgement, in which to talk confidentially, explore problems and work to develop or adapt coping strategies to help you manage challenges or stresses, whether they come from life events, work issues, health problems or past experiences.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Psychodynamic Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I am able to integrate aspects from all of these different therapies to tailor my approach to each individual I work with. This ensures that you will receive the optimum time and attention to address your personalised needs and to obtain honest and realistic results from therapy.
In addition to my sixteen-year career in private practice as a Psychotherapist, I previously worked in the corporate world as a regional marketing manager. I qualified as a Nurse before raising my family. I have worked with HIV and AIDS sufferers in South Africa and was the Vice Chairman of the local fundraising committee for a national cancer charity. Through these experiences, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of diverse individuals and the challenges they face.

My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to see if we’re a good fit to work together. You’ll have the chance to share what has brought you to counselling, ask questions about me, and express any concerns or feelings you might have about starting this process.
We’ll also go over the practical details, such as scheduling our sessions, how often we’ll meet, the cost, confidentiality, and cancellation policies, among other things.
