About me and my therapy practice

You don’t have to keep holding it all together on your own.

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by relationships, or struggling with loss, low self-worth, or past trauma. You might not know what you need yet, only that something isn’t working. In our sessions, you don’t have to have the answers. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward, at your pace.

I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore difficult emotions, understand unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with your sense of self. I have significant experience supporting clients from the LGBTQ+ community and am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming environment.

I’m a Íø±¬ÃÅ-accredited counsellor with over 20 years of experience. My approach is integrative, drawing on Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Solution-Focused therapies. I’m also trauma-informed and integrate somatic work to help you connect with the wisdom of your body, not just your thoughts.

I’ve specialised in addiction and relapse prevention for 16 years using Terence Gorski’s model, and have supported clients through anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and attachment wounds.

Sessions are 60 minutes and take place online. We can meet weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs. I also offer a free 15-minute consultation, a chance to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide if therapy with me feels right for you.

If you’re ready to begin or simply want to explore what support could look like, I’d love to hear from you.

Practice description

My practice is built on creating a steady, collaborative space where you feel respected, seen, and free to express yourself without pressure or judgment. I offer weekly or fortnightly online sessions for adult clients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those who have experienced trauma or addiction.

I support clients facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions, tailoring our work to what feels most meaningful and helpful to you.

As an integrative therapist, I adapt the structure and pace of our sessions to your needs. Some may be reflective and exploratory, others more practical and goal-focused. When appropriate, I include somatic awareness to help you connect with your body’s signals as part of your healing.

Clients often appreciate the clear, consistent space I provide, one that supports growing self-awareness and personal insight. I welcome your feedback and regularly check in to ensure therapy feels right for you, adjusting as needed.

This is a space where it’s okay not to have all the answers  we’ll explore them together.

My first session

Taking the first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation by email, phone, or text, so you can reach out in whatever way feels easiest. This consultation gives us a chance to connect, discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, and explore whether I’m the right counsellor to support you.

During this time, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy and the general process, including how long it might take to work towards those goals. You’re also welcome to ask any questions about my approach or what to expect from sessions.

If you decide to proceed, your first full session will include an initial assessment to help me understand your history and current concerns. I’ll ask you to complete a simple form before we meet, allowing us to focus our time together and make the most of your therapy journey.

I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and flexible start at a pace that feels right for you.

I offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainees seeking a supportive and reflective space to grow in their practice. Whether you're in training or more experienced, supervision can be a grounding place to reflect deeply on your client work, your professional development, and how you care for yourself as a practitioner.

As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I value the uniqueness of each supervisee and the importance of working relationally. I believe in the integration of the whole person in therapeutic work  bringing together mind, body, identity, and context and I bring this ethos into supervision. I aim to offer a space that supports both your clinical insight and your wellbeing, where you feel safe to be open, curious, and honest.

My background includes specialist work in addiction and four years supporting the LGBTQ+ community in a frontline service. I welcome supervisees from diverse backgrounds and am especially attuned to themes of identity, inclusion, and working with marginalised experiences.

All supervision sessions are held online, with flexible weekday appointments available during the day and early evening. Sessions are offered in English or Portuguese.

If you’d like to explore whether we might be a good fit to work together, I’d be happy to arrange an initial conversation. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or to book a time to talk.

About me and my therapy practice

.

I am a Íø±¬ÃÅ-accredited counsellor and experienced clinical supervisor with a background in supporting practitioners since 2009. I bring over two decades of counselling experience, including 16+ years specialising in addiction, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed work, to the supervisory space.

As a supervisor, I believe that a trusting, collaborative relationship is central to effective supervision. My approach is grounded in the belief that supervisees are the experts in their own work. I aim to offer a reflective, respectful environment where you feel supported in navigating challenges, celebrating strengths, and making ethical, informed decisions.

I value openness, curiosity, and the importance of self-awareness in supervision. Whether you're in training or an experienced therapist, I bring warmth, clarity, and a steady presence to help you feel grounded and resourced in your practice.

Practice description

.

I offer integrative clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainees, using a flexible, relational approach tailored to your modality, experience, and client work. My supervision draws on Clarkson’s integrative model, the Seven-Eyed Model, and the INSPiK framework, offering space to reflect on client dynamics, the therapeutic relationship, your internal process, and the wider systemic context.

As a Íø±¬ÃÅ-accredited therapist with over 20 years’ experience, I bring a grounded, trauma-informed perspective to supervision. My background includes specialist work in addiction and relapse prevention, as well as four years supporting LGBTQ+ clients in a community setting. I have a particular interest in identity, inclusion, and working with complex or marginalised client groups.

I’m especially drawn to attachment-informed and somatic approaches, and I welcome supervisees interested in exploring the embodied and relational aspects of therapeutic work. My experience in counselling education also informs a collaborative and reflective supervision style, focused on clinical insight, practitioner wellbeing, and ethical integrity.

Supervision is offered online, with weekday appointments available during the day and early evening. I work in English or Portuguese and welcome practitioners at all stages of their careers.

If you're looking for a reflective, respectful supervision space rooted in relational ethics and whole-person integration, I’d be glad to hear from you.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute consultation, giving you the opportunity to connect with me and discuss your supervision needs without any pressure or commitment. This informal conversation is a chance to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and explore whether we’re a good fit.

If you decide to proceed, our first full session includes an initial assessment and a co-created supervision contract. This outlines confidentiality, boundaries, expectations, and how we’ll work together, ensuring our process aligns with the Íø±¬ÃÅ Ethical Framework and supports your ongoing development.

I have experience supervising a broad range of practitioners, from trainees to experienced counsellors. This includes therapists working in addiction and relapse prevention, couple and relationship therapists, and trauma-informed practitioners. Whether you’re looking to deepen clinical insight, reflect on complex dynamics, or navigate personal and professional challenges, supervision is tailored to your unique needs.

My approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in mutual respect. Sessions are available online or in person and can be scheduled at times that suit your availability. Together, we’ll create a reflective and supportive space where you can explore your work openly, build confidence, and sustain your wellbeing as a therapist.

If you're ready to take the next step, feel free to get in touch to arrange a consultation.

My extensive background in counselling, including specialism in addiction and relapse prevention, enriches my teaching with practical insight and depth.

My teaching approach is student-centred, warm, and supportive, fostering a safe space where learners can deepen their theoretical understanding, refine their therapeutic skills, and develop their professional identity. I integrate experiential learning with reflective practice to prepare students for the complexities of counselling work.

I am committed to helping students meet CPCAB standards while encouraging ethical awareness, self-care, and ongoing professional development. I collaborate closely with colleges and training providers to deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective Level 6 training.

If your institution is seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic Level 6 counselling tutor who can inspire and equip the next generation of therapists, I would be delighted to discuss how I can contribute to your team.

My first session

When beginning a new training group or individual tutoring, I prioritise creating a welcoming and supportive environment where learners feel comfortable to engage and explore counselling skills.

The first session typically involves introductions and an overview of the course structure, learning objectives, and expectations. I encourage open dialogue about individual goals and any concerns learners might have, helping tailor the training to best meet their needs.

For new students, I often ask them to complete a brief initial self-assessment or reflective exercise. This helps me understand their current knowledge, strengths, and areas for development, allowing me to personalise my teaching approach and provide relevant feedback throughout the course.

I explain the importance of confidentiality, professional ethics, and the safe learning space we will build together. This foundation supports a positive and respectful learning atmosphere from the start.

While I do not offer a different rate for the first session, I make sure it is a valuable and informative experience that sets clear expectations and builds trust.

Whether working with groups or individual trainees, my goal in the first session is to establish a strong connection and set the tone for a productive and engaging learning journey
