About me and my therapy practice

I am a Íø±¬ÃÅ Accredited Counsellor. Having made the decision to find a counsellor I would offer you a reduced rate first session. The aim of this would be to get a picture of what brings you to counselling, what you hope to achieve from our time together, to answer questions you may have about how I work and for us to decide on whether we feel comfortable working together. Trained in the 'integrative' approach I see the quality of our relationship is of central importance and will draw upon person-centred, psychodynamic and transpersonal approaches. I aim to be responsive and respectful towards you and your concerns; recognising that no two people's experiences and their responses to them are the same. I am further guided by the Íø±¬ÃÅ Ethical Framework. Experience and qualifications: I am a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ and experienced in working with people from varying cultural backgrounds with a range of issues e.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement, work-related stress, relationship problems, sexuality. I have been a volunteer counsellor for differing organisations: an organisation offering support for people in a caring role, an adult community college and a London borough  community counselling service. I have extensive experience of working with young people (aged 16 plus) in educational settings as well as working with adults of all ages. Sessions last for 1 hour and I  charge £70 though I may be able to offer concessionary rates depending on your situation. I charge £30 for first sessions. I am also registered with Bupa, Axa Health and Aviva.

My first session

I charge £30 for initial sessions. I appreciate counselling can be a significant financial commitment and also see it as an opportunity to see whether or not we feel we can work together well.
