About me and my therapy practice
My aim is for you to explore your issues in the safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment of the virtual counselling room - it is here where you can explore the issues that are troubling you. Listening and holding the space for you is at the core of our time together, I intuitively offer holistic & creative methods to support you; for example stillness & breathing exercises, Emotional Freedom Technique EFT (tapping), mindfulness and breath work, creative arts.
What I know for sure, wholeheartedly, in working with many individuals and groups, our mental health is not separate from our physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, sexual and financial selves. We are multi dimensional, everything is intertwined and deeply connected to each other, not separate compartments but a whole web of interconnections.
People are very surprised at how talking and being heard with an independent counsellor can be just what they are seeking, it is a strength to take that step forward.
Within our therapeutic relationship I will support you so you can explore at your own pace. You will find your way through.
Practice description
About Person Centred Counselling
At the very root of all my sessions I am honouring the core conditions outlined and devised by Carl Rogers, founder of Person Centred Therapy. I work in a way that is very reflective, compassionate, insightful and genuine. Person Centred means that I see you as the expert about yourself. I work alongside you as you explore your issues and find your own answers.
Carl Rogers believed that people had the ability to heal themselves if the right conditions were in place.
"Humans are always in a transient state of being - they are always in a state of becoming." Carl Rogers
