About me and my therapy practice

I have been practising as a qualified psychodynamic therapist in various settings since 1998.

I am offering therapy and supervision to individuals; supervision includes practitioners who are using therapeutic skills, such as mental health support or psycho-social support but not necessarily offering counselling or psychotherapy.

Practice description

By "psychodynamic" I mean a particular theory of mind, thinking about unconscious processes and that our past influences our present. My understanding of trauma is of a response to external events which may adversely affect our internal processes and capacities.

I think we come into therapy because of a sense that there is a repeating pattern in our life which is not helpful and we are looking for help to create a change.
