I warmly welcome you to my practice.
I am a very experienced and qualified Counsellor working with adults/young people (15+). I use a variety of advanced skills and techniques to help you gain insights, to empower you to make positive changes and improve your emotional well being.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation to explore how we can successfully work together. Please feel free to contact me, I can help with whatever brings you to therapy, no problem or concern is too big or small.

I have many years experience of working within the NHS, Primary and Secondary Schools, Young Carers Project/Parents, Statutory Sector & Youth Agencies. Also, being self employed for many years, I have successfully helped adults with a diverse range of personal issues.

Perhaps you’re looking for help with a particular problem or maybe your whole life feels difficult, stuck or out of balance. Maybe you have suffered a bereavement or just want to talk to someone and feel understood.
I have over 14 years experience as a counsellor and over 25 years experience of working with people in different settings. I use a combination of therapies to best meet your needs. These include:

Practice description
Firstly, we will have an Initial Assessment, to see how we can work together, there is no obligation to continue at this stage. I recognise the importance of finding the right therapist for you.
In the subsequent sessions, we can explore your feelings and emotions, childhood, thoughts and beliefs and thinking styles to help you with your emotional wellbeing. we can talk through your concerns and relationships in general.
We will work towards empowerment, helping you move forward with new positive insights about yourself. you can gain a deeper understanding of how you are, building your self esteem and confidence, etc. I have seen many people thrive and make many positive changes, turning their lives around.
Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I am here to listen and support you through the process, there is no judgement. I provide a warm, safe space where you can open up about your experiences and feel heard. Understanding ourselves deeply and loving ourselves, is key to change.I offer flexibility around the timing of sessions if need by, however, counselling is a commitment on both sides. Once you feel ready to leave, we work towards an ending. I offer short term, medium or long term work.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute Initial Assessment online or by telephone, to see if I am the right therapist for you. I understand how finding the right therapist and a good fit is important. There is no obligation to continue at this stage.
During our initial meeting, I will complete an assessment with you. I will take down some personal details and look at your goals of therapy as well as a brief synopsis of what bring you to therapy.
After that, we can meet weekly or fortnightly initially, talk through and work on your reasons for being in therapy. I offer Face to face sessions in a quiet and relaxing place in Bishops Stortford or online/telephone. All sessions are 50 minutes.
