About me and my therapy practice

Experienced qualified Integrative counsellor and trainer.

I have a breadth and depth of experience working with young people and adults facing additional barriers as a result of social injustice, stigma, shame, discrimination, abuse, lack of opportunities as well as a spectrum of issues and challenges that young people and adults can find themselves struggling with today.

I have a particular depth of understanding and connection with LGBTQI+ people, neurodivergent people, and I am part of those communities myself. My therapeutic practice is affirmative with respect to LGBTQIA+ identities, experiences and relationships in all their aspects and configurations. My perspective and practice is also framed around the social model of disability.

Having seen and felt the benefits of using nature as a therapeutic tool - both personally and professionally - I am keen to work with clients who also feel drawn to using the boundaries of nature to work therapeutically in, instead of a conventional small room which may feel too intense for some individuals.

It can really help us rediscover those parts of ourselves that may be just outside of our awareness but are vital, whether we know about them or not, in keeping us alive.

Also available for specialist clinical supervision for therapists who feel they might benefit from working with me . Likewise if you feel I might be of help in delivering you or your organisation some engaging, fun and challenging CPD.
