About me and my therapy practice
My approach is patient-centred, confidential and collaborative. I offer a private, quiet and secure space in which to listen to and think with you about whatever it is that may be troubling you.
People who come to see me have experienced a range of issues in life. These include relationship difficulties (both heterosexual and LGBT+), work-related stress, low self-esteem, difficulties communicating feelings, trauma, loss, and difficulties relating to attending boarding school.
I have over ten years’ experience of clinical practice and the distress arising from anxiety, depression, long-term emotional challenges, a lack of meaning in life and difficulties with a new transition in life, including being a parent and redundancy.
I am registered with The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) as a psychodynamic psychotherapist (level 7) and I am an Accredited Member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ. I adhere to the requirements of these organisations for ethical practice including CPD, confidentiality, complaints procedures, and supervision.
I have been in private practice since 2015.
After graduating from WPF Therapy, having completed a 4-year clinical training (Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic theory and practice, including 450 hours of practice), I provided psychotherapy in specialist NHS units including for women survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and out-patient services focusing on anxiety and depression.
