About me and my therapy practice
I am a Íø±¬ÃÅ-accredited Integrative Therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals on their journey to emotional well-being and personal growth. I have worked in the voluntary/ charity sector across Ireland for 20 years.
Alongside therapy I am an ADHD assessor and have a wide understanding and experience of working therapeutically with neurodivergent clients which involves tailoring approaches to respect and support their unique ways of thinking, processing, and experiencing the world.
Practice description
Drawing on a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, I tailor my practice to meet the unique needs of each client, creating a safe and compassionate space for healing and self-discovery. My integrative style allows me to blend techniques from different modalities, ensuring a flexible and client-centred approach that fosters resilience and positive change.Psychotherapy can address a wide range of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, and self-esteem issues. Different therapeutic approaches exist (like cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, and integrative therapy), each offering unique techniques and perspectives to support healing and personal growth.
In short, psychotherapy is a collaborative process aimed at helping people better understand themselves and create positive changes in their lives.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to assess what your needs and goals for therapy are. This is also an chance to discuss previous therapy and what has/ hasn't worked for you in the past. The first session will allow us to look at current or reoccurring stumbling blocks in your life and the challenges that have stopped you from making positive changes. This session is also a time for you to ask me questions regarding the therapy, contract, confidentiality, how I store your information.
