About me and my therapy practice
As a Íø±¬ÃÅ-accredited counsellor and Certified Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) therapist, I work with individuals and couples to explore the emotions and patterns that shape their relationships and sense of self. My practice is grounded in attachment theory, with a focus on helping people understand their emotional needs and strengthen their connections with others.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and life experiences. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and reflective, offering space to explore emotions with openness and curiosity. Whether working with someone navigating personal challenges or a couple seeking to reconnect, the goal is to foster healing, emotional clarity, and a greater sense of security.
Creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment lies at the heart of my work. Clients often describe the process as one that helps them feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward more fulfilling relationships, with themselves and with others.
Professional memberships include the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Accred.), the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and the British Emotionally Focused Therapy Centre (BEFT).
I have also trained in, and am experienced in using other modalities such as psychodynamic therapy.
Practice description
Feeling disconnected, caught in the same conflicts, or struggling to feel close in your relationship?
As a certified Emotionally Focused Therapy therapist, I specialise in helping couples and individuals build secure, resilient, and connected relationships.
Based on attachment theory, EFT is a structured and highly effective approach that focuses on the powerful emotions driving your interactions. Instead of getting stuck in cycles of blame and defence, we will work together to understand the deeper feelings and unmet needs beneath the surface.
In our work, you will learn to communicate more openly and compassionately, transforming negative patterns into moments of emotional connection and intimacy. It's about creating a safe space to ask for what you need and feel heard by your partner, or to understand and accept your own emotions more effectively if you are seeking individual therapy.
If you're ready to break free from old patterns and create a stronger, more loving bond, please get in touch via the Contact Form.
My first session
Initially, I meet with clients to introduce myself and EFT,then to explore what the client hopes to achieve through counselling. If the client's concerns are within my area of expertise, and we agree that we will be able to work well together, we can then decide on a longer-term arrangement.
