About me and my therapy practice
Seeking therapy can feel like a big step, and finding the right person to talk to is important. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can explore what matters most to you at your own pace.
I am a fully qualified psychodynamic therapist and a registered and accredited member of the 网爆门. Alongside my psychodynamic practice, I have also trained in brief and solution-focused therapy, as well as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This allows me to adapt my approach to suit your individual needs, whether you are looking for longer-term in-depth work or a more focused, time-limited piece of therapy.
Most of my work is with clients on a long-term basis, meeting weekly at a regular agreed time in a safe, supportive, and confidential space. Regular three monthly collaborative reviews help to ensure that our work together continues to be useful and supportive.
I also offer shorter-term work if you are seeking help with a particular issue or life challenge.
Our first session will be a gentle 鈥済etting-to-know-you鈥 meeting. I will take a few notes to better understand your situation, and we will talk about what you would like to gain from therapy. From there, we can decide together how best to move forward.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is key to change and growth. It matters deeply to me that you feel comfortable and supported in the therapeutic space, so that together we can explore your experiences, difficulties, and hopes for the future.
Clients often tell me they value my calm, thoughtful approach and the sense of safety they feel in our sessions.
I have experience in supporting people with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties and life changes.

My first session
A typical first session would last for approximately one and a half hours.
The fee for this first session is the same as is charged for ongoing work. There is no additional charge.
Our first session will be a gentle 鈥済etting-to-know-you鈥 meeting. I will take a few notes to better understand your situation. We will discuss what brings you to therapy now, your goals and aims for the work and any concerns that you might have. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential in working with clients. It is very important to me that clients feel safe and respected no matter what issues they are bringing.
I will answer any questions that you might have and explain my preferred ways of working. We can then work together to decide which approach would be most helpful for our future work together.
