My first session

Stepping into therapy can feel like a big step, but your first online counselling session is designed to be welcoming and comfortable. Imagine settling into your favorite spot at home – your private sanctuary – with a secure video call connecting you to your counsellor.

There won't be a pre set agenda. Instead, our primary goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can truly be yourself. You might simply start by sharing what's on your mind, or just exploring the feeling of needing to talk. There's no pressure to have all the answers.

We listen with genuine interest and offer unconditional positive regard, meaning we accept you exactly as you are. This deep acceptance often helps people open up in ways they never thought possible, even through a screen. You'll feel heard and understood, not advised or fixed.

The first session is designed to get to know each other. The important thing is that you feel like you can work with us - there is no pressure to carry on beyond the first session if it doesn't feel like the right fit.
