About me and my therapy practice
I practice in an integrative way, drawing on techniques from various therapeutic approaches to best support each client’s unique needs and concerns.
In addition to Psychodynamic Therapy and CBT, I have also trained in DBT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR. I’m committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertake further training to ensure I can offer the most effective support.
I work with individuals who may be experiencing emotional dysregulation, depression, or anxiety, whether connected to past experiences or current challenges. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive space where we can explore these difficulties together.
Counselling and therapy are not quick fixes or magical solutions to the challenges you're facing. While therapy can’t change the past, it can help you navigate and manage current difficulties in a healthier way. Together, we’ll work on shifting how you respond to these challenges and develop a more empowered mindset.
The goal isn't to "fix" your problems or give advice, but rather to support your journey toward greater self-awareness, provide a safe space for you to express yourself authentically, and offer validation and support as you grow. My aim is to help you become the best version of yourself and live a life aligned with your goals and values.
Sessions are currently delivered via Microsoft Teams, which research shows can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy.
Practice description
Before your first session, a free 15-minute consultation will be offered to determine whether my services are the right fit for your needs.
If we decide to move forward, a therapy agreement will be provided outlining the terms and conditions of our work together. This agreement must be reviewed and signed before sessions begin.
I welcome clients with private medical insurance as well as those who are self-funding.
For self-funding clients, payments can be made either in advance or at the end of each session via bank transfer. If you're using private insurance, please email your authorisation code ahead of time so I can process the necessary invoices accordingly.
My first session
In our first session (the assessment session), we’ll take time to talk about your history and the challenges you're currently facing. Together, we’ll begin to develop a plan that feels supportive and helps you feel more emotionally safe and grounded.
The assessment session is the same cost as a regular therapy session.
