About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, friendly, and caring counsellor who offers a confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to talk and be heard. I believe that everyone has the potential to overcome their difficulties, but sometimes a little professional support can make all the difference. You have already taken a significant step towards better wellbeing by looking for a counsellor, and I recognise how important and courageous that decision can be.
My approach is centred on building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship, as I believe this is the foundation for meaningful change. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, helping you to recognise and manage negative thinking patterns and develop practical strategies for positive change.
Practice description
I have over 10 years’ experience working with young people and adults from age 11, supporting them through a wide range of emotional and personal challenges. I offer a warm, safe, and collaborative environment where clients can work towards their personal goals at their own pace.
I provide counselling for issues such as anxiety, low mood, stress, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs, using the CBT framework to promote self-awareness, resilience, and lasting wellbeing.
I have a special interest in working with young people who present with anxiety and ADHD.
My first session
I offer a 20 minute introductory session free of charge. This gives you the opportunity to meet me and find out whether you will be happy working with me and for me to gain some understanding about what it is you hope to achieve from counselling. This session holds no obligation.
