About me and my therapy practice

A warm, approachable and deeply empathetic counsellor with lived experience of neurodivergence.

I offer psychotherapy to adults for a wide range of life challenges in a safe and supportive environment in SE LONDON in Charlton, in Greenwich and in Brockley.

As an integrative counsellor with a focus on person centred theory, I strongly believe in each person's ability to ultimately know themselves and what they need. I work flexibly with every individual, tailoring my approach to their situation. Drawing on my wealth of experience and expertise in a rich diversity of client groups, I take care to personalise the counselling journey to the needs of each individual person.

Anxiety, loss, trauma, abuse and bereavement are recurring themes in my work

as are issues around the stress and challenges of caring and caregiving including perinatal depression and parenting SEN children. Thus I'm able to offer a backbone of supportive counselling, helping clients to cope and progress through both acute shocks and complex traumas.

Neurodiversity including ASD, ADHD and Dyslexia has become a growing focus in my work, underpinned by my own experience of a late diagnosis, as well as my previous extensive work as a SEN play-therapist. Neurodivergence poses an increased risk of traumatic experiences in a neurotypical world including self worth issues and bullying.

LGBTQIA+ is another specialist area I have achieved many good results with as one of the marginalised groups that are often exposed to societal trauma. Over the years I have successfully worked with many issues around sexual orientation and gender identity, including polyamory and parenting transgender children.

Alongside my integrative approach I include IFS techniques where appropriate, providing exciting new ways of addressing internal conflicts. finding acceptance of challenging parts and facilitating deep healing of trauma.
