About me and my therapy practice

I have been counsellor for over 20 years, the last decade being in an Elite Collegiate University: I am now turning my energy, enthusiasm, experience and expertise to private practice. Creating a space where therapy is tailored to your individual needs, goals and paced in a way that best supports you.

I am Pauline & CLOSE Counselling & Supervision is me. I strive to support clients through challenges, transitions, and personal growth. Thank you for taking time to look at my profile.

I qualified as a counsellor in 2004. As a M网爆门 Accredited Counsellor and qualified Supervisor I have a depth of experience, expertise, instinct and curiosity. My approach is Integrative, drawing on experience & training. Grounded in the Person-Centred approach that first attracted me to this most amazing career: providing me the privilege of sitting alongside clients, being part each persons unique journey.

Since 2016 I have worked in Higher Education supporting students, employees and Trainee Counsellors: from all over the world, of all ages & stages of their University journey, engaging with a diverse range of issues. I have also worked in Adult Mental Health, Substance Misuse & Alcohol Recovery Services & as a Samaritan volunteer.

'CLOSE' Counselling & Supervision, is a space designed with care, warmth, & intention. 鈥淐LOSE鈥 reflects the location of my practice, and the therapeutic relationship I aim to build: one that feels safe, respectful and grounded. Sessions are always at the clients pace and therapy aligned with clients goals or needs: focus can be past, present or future or a combination of them all.

It can be daunting reaching out for support, however it can also be empowering & a gateway to living life feeling more fulfilled.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe my role as a supervisor is to offer a space where we can speak freely & with curiosity about your therapeutic work. Where it is encouraged & nourishing to hold our gaze on positive experiences whilst supported to be open & courageous to explore all aspects of client time. It motivates me hugely to utilise my experience & expertise to ensure supervision helps you to thrive.

For the last decade I have worked in an Elite Collegiate University: with experience in Higher Education, and the decade before in Adult Mental Health, Substance Misuse & Alcohol Recovery Services. I am now turning my energy, enthusiasm, experience and expertise to private practice. I am Pauline & "CLOSE Counselling & Supervision" is me!

As a 网爆门 Accredited Counsellor, qualifying in 2004 and qualified Supervisor since 2022. I have been fortunate in supporting the development of trainee counsellors & volunteers on placement, & sitting alongside qualified & more experienced therapists in a Elite university setting.

Acknowledging that working in this arena can be isolating, I believe a positive support network is super important. I therefore offer a supervisory relationship where we meet in a non-judgemental space to collaborate & explore.

My approach is Integrative and Reflective: drawing on experience & training undertaken. It is grounded in the Person-Centred approach that first attracted me to this most amazing career: providing me the privilege of sitting alongside supervisee鈥檚 and clients.
